[Fischl Cosplay] Ein Immernachtstraum: Recreating the Prinzessin's Elegance in a Retro Study

Ein Immernachtstraum—the official photos from my Fischl cosplay shoot are finally organized today. This time, to recreate this tsundere Prinzessin from Genshin Impact, the makeup artist and I carefully polished every single detail. The blonde hair paired with the ribbon headband, along with that iconic jagged crown, creates a strong volumetric presence that looks amazing on camera. To give my eyes a piercing look, I wore red colored contact lenses; honestly, this deep red shade easily elevates one's aura, but wearing them for a long time gets a bit dry, so I recommend cosplayers wanting to try this makeup to keep eye drops handy. As for the costume, the layered silver metallic hollow-out decoration on the chest is heavy-duty craft, and combined with the deep purple choker, this layered outfit really tests the neckline's contour. Paired with the tight lace-trimmed white top and dark blue coat, it offers visual structure while retaining feminine softness. The arm sleeves were designed separately by us—crafted from deep blue silk-texture fabric, paired with silver armlets and vintage ruffle cuffs at the ends, completely maxing out the stylistic impact. The lower half features a curved miniskirt paired with white tights; these white tights are actually quite demanding on leg contours because, as a solid white, even the slightest crease stands out clearly on camera, but luckily my poses during this shoot were fairly extended. For footwear, I chose classic black patent leather buckle heels with straps crisscrossing above the ankle, which not only visually extended the calf length but also formed a striking black-and-white contrast with the white tights that really catches the eye.

The studio was carefully selected by photographer 尸王 (Shi Wang); deep red draped curtains paired with white lace gauze, plus vintage European wooden cabinets and an old-fashioned gramophone in the background, truly felt like being in a private study of an ancient castle. The dark red leather sofa was the core prop for this whole photo set; its texture and reflections were spot-on, letting the body sink in naturally to focus visual attention on the upper body. During the shoot, Shi Wang managed light and shadow with extreme precision, striking a very soft semi-front side light that illuminated my golden locks while creating a natural gradient shadow across the white tights, avoiding any washed-out flat feeling from the pure white. During the shoot, my personal favorite poses were those with my hand reaching slightly toward the lens; to maintain arm extension and open shoulders, I had to hold my breath slightly to control bodily movement, combining that with an intense gaze to convey a complex blend of tsundere pride and subtle invitation. There were also poses holding an ancient tome with legs elegantly crossed and the other hand slightly raised pointing behind the camera, which not only displayed the outfit's tailoring beautifully but also gave the entire frame a rich narrative feel. Although spending time tidying up accessories on the day—styling the wig, adjusting metal ornaments, and tying the shoe straps tight and smooth—took quite a while, the final visuals completely lived up to the preparation. Collaborating with Shi Wang was very smooth; he really understood the mysterious, elegant, yet tsundere atmosphere I wanted, and the resulting lighting and composition perfectly matched my interpretation of the character.
