Stepping onto the RTX 5070 Ti box to adjust my seated pose, I kept repeating silently in my head: please don't crush the box! At this year's CICF China International Comics Festival Expo, I cosplayed Open Source Girl and Aysha. Since I personally follow PC hardware in everyday life, slipping into this black-and-white checkered anime look felt like a natural, harmonious fit with the esports vibe of the booth.

To align with the booth setup of the day, I chose a classic black-and-white plaid dress detailed with delicate white lace patchwork across the chest and hemline, while the collar design carried a subtle, disciplined choker-like restraint. For the lower half, I coordinated a pair of sheer black stockings; not only did they flatter the leg lines, but while seated on the leather sofa for shots, they seamlessly reinforced the overall dark-sweet aesthetic. The wig featured long, straight silver-white locks tied into high twin tails and accented with black-and-white plush hair accessories. Paired with blue contact lenses and peachy-pink blush, the styling aimed to evoke the exquisite doll-like charm of an anime character.

The on-site props were wonderfully fun. Beyond the vintage brown leather sofa, the surrounding area was stacked with assorted graphics card retail packaging, including the RTX 5060, 5070 Ti, and 5080. On the sofa, I worked through various character-fitting poses—such as forming finger hearts with both hands, lightly tapping my cheek with a fingertip, or resting my chin on my hands. One specific shot required extending both legs straight out to rest my feet directly on the boxes, which actually placed heavy demands on my core balance and stamina. To prevent accidental exposure, I carefully adjusted the angles of the dress hemline while keeping my upper body relaxed, ensuring the camera captured natural, sweet facial expressions.

The venue's lighting was quite complex, featuring blue neon tubes and mixed backlighting, but fortunately the photographer had an incredible eye for angles. For my makeup, I intentionally expanded the blended area of under-eye blush, which kept my complexion looking radiant under the spotlights and enhanced that flat, stylized 2D anime feel. Because the overall vibe leaned toward a blend of cuteness and esports, I incorporated playful hand gestures into the poses—like clenching both fists gently against my chest or extending a hand forward toward the lens—hoping to give the frames an interactive feel.

Honestly, wearing black stockings on a leather sofa for extended periods makes sliding around very easy, requiring constant core engagement to sustain clean, flattering postures. Compounded by the bustling foot traffic of the expo, producing this photoset within a limited timeframe was a true test of stamina and chemistry for the entire team. Seeing the final results, however, made this fusion of esports and anime culture feel thoroughly rewarding. Every time I tackle characters of different aesthetics—from wardrobe prep beforehand to on-the-spot improvisation—I feel like I've accumulated valuable new experience in mastering the art of cosplay.
