Tonight's Nansha Donglong Guangzhou Sunflower field, under the character styling of Hanahara from Stella Sora, presents a completely unconventional sense of serenity. Before the shoot, seeing that phrase "Do not go gentle into that good night," I felt this shooting approach had an extremely high compatibility with Hanahara. Sunflowers at night are not as passionate as they are during the day; instead, intertwined with the light, they possess a quiet yet determined vitality.

In this shoot, we specially chose a retro lantern as an auxiliary light source. The warm yellow glow it emitted happened to illuminate the pink-and-white base color and the embellished sunflower elements on her. The starlight, the sea of flowers, along with that fluffy blue hair and twintails styling, all looked incredibly photogenic in front of the lens. To maintain that slightly cool yet hopeful expression from the character setting, I coordinated my appearance with the rising and lowering of the lantern, as well as the action of looking up at the starry sky, hoping to blend Hanahara's traveler stance and the aura of the cosmic galaxy into this very flower field.

The modified Japanese-style hem with special cuts that I am wearing, combined with the white hair ornaments and gloves serving as embellishments, shows very clear details under the night reflections. This outfit makes me feel that she is no longer just a character in a game, but truly exists under this Van Gogh-like starry sky. As a coser, being able to catch the peak of the sunflower blooming season perfectly and complete such a set of Night photography works within two hours after it gets dark is something particularly satisfying. Night photography places extremely high demands on lighting. I want to give a huge thanks to my photographer, Chenguang Star; he accurately captured the texture of the lantern at night and the atmosphere under the starry sky, allowing us to recreate as much as possible the impulse of being surrounded by sunflowers while listening to the starry sky.

This time, the movements in the flowers were chosen to be relatively stretched out and graceful, without deliberately creating a lively, energetic vibe, but leaning more toward showcasing her side that belongs to the night. It felt like walking alone through the flower bushes, following the light of the lantern toward an unknown direction. Although the background of the environment is gorgeous, it didn't overpower the main subject at all; instead, the combination of Hanahara's styling and the sunflowers opened up more space for narrative extension. Amidst the sunflowers, you can lean down to get close to those petals, sensing their closed state at night, while simultaneously feeling that this is just the natural way of existence for the character of Hanahara. I hope that through this set of nighttime sunflower photos, everyone can see a different side of this character.
