The photoshoot for Cinderella cosplay in her maid outfit from GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE is finally complete. Starting with the costume details, the overall look features a blue, white, and black palette. The top is a light blue corset vest cut; the black criss-cross lace-up ties around the waist flatter the silhouette while elongating visual proportions. The most striking element is the extensive sheer translucent tulle panel across the chest, framed with white ruffled lace and paired with a white stand collar and black ribbon tie. The sapphire gemstone nestled in the center of the ribbon serves as a refined accent, making the entire ensemble look obedient like a maid yet subtly mysterious like the character herself.
Significant effort went into hair and makeup as well. Long silver-gray hair was styled into twintails, adorned on both sides with monochrome ruffled hair ornaments. To faithfully embody the character, I wore crimson contact lenses and swept vibrant pink blush across my cheeks, ensuring a lively glow on camera and leaning into that anime-style photography aesthetic. The set design that day was impeccably staged—the studio featured white Roman arches and pillars surrounded by lavish blue and white floral arrangements. To match the overall palette, I wore white short gloves and tied a mint-green bow at the waist. The skirt consists of multi-tiered light blue translucent tulle that drapes with rich dimension during movement. For the full-body standing shots lifting the skirt hem, I wore white stockings adorned with black bows and chunky black patent-leather heels, flattering the leg contours while fitting the overall aesthetic.
The shooting process was physically demanding. Between the tight corset waist and wearing high heels for extended hours, I hurried to sit down and rest during every break. Yet to capture stunning compositions, the photographer constantly adjusted angles and lighting. For instance, in the shots seated on the carpet, I angled my legs slightly to the side, letting the sheer skirt partially drape over them to highlight the smooth lines of the white stockings and legs without looking stiff. Hand placement also required precision—lightly resting a hand on my cheek or pinching the bow tie—little gestures that added storytelling depth and prevented rigid posture.
Regarding prop and set coordination, the golden nameplate on the apron hem was a brilliant touch, engraved with "CINDERELLA" to make the outfit instantly recognizable. Merging this character with a maid outfit proved to be an exciting creative challenge. Organizing the costume and styling the wig took considerable time beforehand—securing the twintails in particular required numerous bobby pins and hairspray to ensure they wouldn't droop mid-shoot, maintaining the character's signature silhouette.
Overall, the studio lighting was wonderfully soft, and the high-key photography style gave the imagery a dreamlike quality. The cool white lighting on the blue-and-white set made my skin appear exceptionally translucent. The final selections balance full-body views showing the complete silhouette, close-ups accentuating costume details and body contours, and seated compositions. To highlight an alluring charm during shooting, angles were chosen to showcase the white stockings and leg lines, while the sheer top accentuated figure advantages.
