Choosing a Classroom setting paired with a School swimsuit and White stockings for this finished Ganyu Cosplay shoot was a concept I had wanted to try for ages. For the costume, I selected a classic deep blue one-piece swimsuit featuring a spliced white sailor collar and red necktie, with the yellow armband on my right arm serving as an intentional accent detail. The wig features light blue loose waves with an organic curve, while the ahoge cowlick on top and side hair accessories faithfully preserve her canonical traits. In terms of makeup, wearing pink-purple contact lenses paired with rosy blush brought the overall visual closer to an authentic 2D anime feel.
The set design utilized a pure white backdrop combined with wooden desks and chairs; such a clean Classroom environment allows the visual focus to rest entirely on the subject and costume. In Photo 1, sitting sideways with legs crossed was primarily designed to showcase the absolute territory of the over-the-knee White stockings and fluid leg lines; the form-fitting cut of the School swimsuit naturally flatters bodily curves when seated. In Photo 2, leaning over the desk with hands clasped, kneeling on the chair with calves tilted upward, actually demanded significant core abdominal strength—holding it caused soreness quickly, but the languid ease captured in the final shot made it totally worthwhile. Photo 3 captures stretching with raised arms, seizing that relaxed, just-woken-up mood.
Regarding character portrayal, Ganyu naturally embodies a cool, aloof, and elegant demeanor, whereas wearing a School swimsuit is an exploratory doujin derivative direction. I worked hard to convey that sense of contrast through gaze and body language—such as looking back in Photo 1, gazing forward in Photo 2, and stretching in Photo 3—attempting to showcase an endearing touch of absentminded cuteness and effortless ease. To maintain optimal poise on camera, I constantly smoothed out the hem folds of the swimsuit during breaks while ensuring the White stockings didn't slip down, attending to these delicate details throughout the intense shoot.
The studio lighting was bright and uniform; the deep blue swimsuit rendered a sleek texture under the lights, striking a vivid visual contrast against the White stockings. The photographer explored various angles, utilizing the tiered heights of desks and chairs to enrich composition. Without complex props or backdrops, the focus remained squarely on the subject's expressive state and garment details.
