Today's Cinderella swimsuit look from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE was a long-awaited summer on-location shoot. To faithfully capture the refreshing and breathable ambiance of this skin, my photographer and I chose an open-air outdoor pool as the main setting. The azure pool water set against the pure white swimsuit and White hollow-out cover-up, bathed in natural light, created a wonderfully translucent visual texture for this Summer pool photo shoot.
Regarding hair and makeup details, the pale purple twin-tail wig required considerable time to comb and style. The white flower hair ornament on top served as the crowning touch, lending the look both the character's aloof elegance and a hint of playfulness. The red colored contacts were the focal point of this makeup look; to reflect the character's temperament, I adjusted the highlights and eyeliner around the eyes, expanding the red gradient blending so the gaze looked intensely focused yet subtly detached. This unconventional makeup appeared even more sculpted under the poolside lighting.
Considering the outfit, the pure white swimsuit base layer I chose features crisp tailoring and a snug fit, preventing awkward creases whether sitting or reclining. The outer White hollow-out cover-up is the true essence: it offers practical sun protection while adding rich visual layers to the outfit. The semi-sheer mesh fabric creates a beautiful interplay of light and shadow under the sun. In photo one, sitting on the tile floor naturally showcases body lines and the drape of the cover-up's hem; in photo two, reclining on the wicker lounger alongside the shimmering transparent swim ring channels a lazy, leisurely holiday resort vibe. The glittery sequin details on the floatie catch the sunlight with sparkling points of light, adding lively highlights to the scene.
The shooting process went smoother than anticipated, though a few aspects required extra care. When shooting at an outdoor pool, sun protection is paramount, and during breaks, I constantly had to check the wig's fit and hair strand flow—because twin-tails become heavy and collapse if they get wet, so I kept the ends away from the water while utilizing the breeze to maintain natural fluffiness. I also brought a pair of compact clear water guns as backup props; though they didn't make the final cut, interacting with the photographer during breaks unexpectedly yielded several candid, natural expressions—a truly fun experience.
When doing a Goddess of Victory: NIKKE cosplay, one naturally ponders the character's core traits. In the game lore, Cinderella possesses exceptional resilience and unique charisma; whether in her combat gear or this casual Swimsuit cosplay, I aimed to convey an understated yet confident aura. Consequently, in expression control, rather than forcing a commercial smile catering to the camera, I harmonized with the surroundings—such as glancing back casually or gazing quietly at the water—moments that often feel more authentic and compelling.
In post-processing, we avoided heavy color grading, largely preserving the natural saturation of the blue sky and turquoise water from the raw shots while smoothing the skin tones, since the outdoor lighting had already provided ample ambiance. This bright, clean, and refreshing Summer pool photo shoot style truly tests lighting angles and on-set coordination, for which I'm grateful to the photographer's impeccable timing. Although this ensemble looks simple and light, considerable prep time went into securing the wig, ensuring makeup longevity, and neatening wardrobe details. I hope this share lets everyone directly feel the charm of this swimsuit Cinderella and her distinctive presence against the summer pool backdrop.
