For this Zenless Zone Zero Jane Doe Swimsuit cosplay photoshoot, I picked Chimelong Water Park as the prime location. Choosing an outdoor water park in the peak of summer was definitely quite a challenge—not only was the temperature sweltering, but the park was also packed with visitors. To capture that crisp, refreshing vacation vibe while ensuring high-quality photos, I did thorough homework on both outfit coordination and shooting schedules.

First, let's talk about the costume details. Jane Doe's summer attire features a classic black-and-blue color palette: a cropped black halter top with geometric cutouts and a red animal motif, paired with matching black shorts. Layered over the waist are black leather belts and silver-white metallic straps, which, combined with the black garter strap on the right thigh, visually elongate leg lines dramatically. I deliberately styled it with a loose, sheer cyan-blue jacket slung halfway off the shoulders. Wearing it this way is exceptionally versatile during shooting—it enriches frame layering when backgrounds are busy, while also offering a bit of physical sun protection under the blazing sun.

To faithfully recreate the character's signature look, considerable care went into styling. The short black hair with blunt bangs, red gradient highlights at the tips, and the pink animal ears perched overhead are the very soul of the design. For eye makeup, I selected reddish-pink eyeshadow paired with bright green contacts, finished with high-saturation crimson lips. The dark, elongated manicure also added tremendous polish to tight close-up shots.

When shooting at a water park, lighting is paramount. To avoid the harsh facial shadows cast by midday overhead light, I waited until mid-afternoon when the sunlight softened. The photographer utilized a wide aperture to blur the blue pools and water attractions in the background, locking all visual focus squarely onto me. Long wooden banquet tables and benches served as fantastic props; I explored crossing my legs, stepping one knee up onto the chair, and diverse seated postures. These poses are not only visually slimming on camera, but also naturally flatter the waist, abdomen, and leg contours. Paired with the off-shoulder drape of the jacket, they evoke an effortless, alluring seaside resort mood. Of course, sitting barefoot on sunbaked wooden planks demanded real endurance—the soles of my feet were quite hot, but I pushed through to complete the set for the sake of the final frame.

As a cosplayer who frequently shoots outdoors, UV defense and makeup longevity are absolute essentials in summer. I carried sunscreen spray and setting powder to touch up between posing sets. Furthermore, the wet ground of a water park gets slippery easily, so moving around barefoot or in costume footwear required extra care. The fabric of the outfit is form-fitting and clings when sweating, so we kept the shooting pace brisk and movements clean and decisive.

All in all, shooting at Chimelong Water Park was a truly unique experience. The rich aquatic elements and lush tropical foliage in the background harmonized seamlessly with this resort-style swimsuit, yielding photos that embody both the character's cool demeanor and the vibrant pulse of summer. I hope this share offers inspiration to fellow creators planning summer outdoor shoots!
