[Elysia Cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd: Herrscher of Human Convention Field Record

Considerable fine-tuning went into styling the wig for this Elysia look. The pink-to-white gradient poses quite a challenge during trimming: it needs to retain the character's fluffy, voluminous softness without appearing messy. I deliberately thinned and defined the ends into delicate layers so the side strands would frame the face naturally. The hat serves as the crowning touch of the entire outfit, complete with red trim, a golden badge, and a champagne-colored rose; to preserve its dimensional crispness on the convention floor, I pretreated the brim and flower edges repeatedly with hairspray and fixing mist before heading out, ensuring nothing collapsed during walking. The red ribbon around the neck and the golden key necklace required exact tension as well—too tight feels restrictive, while too loose compromises the neckline's visual framing.

For the makeup, to convey that dewy yet subtly alluring quality, I set the base broadly with a pink-toned loose powder. The eyeshadow blended reddish-brown tones with fine pink shimmer, extending into a slightly winged liner. I chose staggered, medium-length false eyelashes to lend the eyes a clear, luminous depth beneath the venue's cool-toned lights. Blush was concentrated under the eyes and across the center of the face, sweeping lightly over the tip of the nose, paired with a juicy strawberry-red lip topped with clear gloss to give the lips a plump sheen whenever I smiled for the camera.

The garment details are exceptionally rich. The diamond pattern and metallic hardware on the corset boast great texture, though suiting up demands patience, as the rear lacing must be adjusted snugly against the waistline without restricting breathing. The red and champagne roses hand-anchored to the shoulders and chest were stitched with invisible monofilament line, granting a subtle sway during movement while remaining completely secure. The arm sleeves feature red-and-white color-blocking with gold piping; when worn, smoothing the direction of each fold was vital to maintain that distinct multi-layered puff-sleeve aesthetic.

During the shoot, the booth area was bustling with heavy foot traffic against a busy background. I explored several movement routines, eventually finding that leaning slightly forward with a finger gracing my lips in a 'shh' gesture, or touching the hat's edge while tilting my head slightly down and glancing up, resonated best with her persona. The photographer utilized a wide-aperture lens to melt the background convention crowds and purple booths into soft, creamy bokeh, firmly anchoring visual focus on the character. The venue lighting was primarily top-down, which easily casts harsh facial shadows, so I subtly adjusted my footing to ensure balanced frontal illumination while maintaining a smooth light-and-shadow gradient across the chest and shoulders.

Walking the con floor in this ensemble made the physical weight of the floral accents and the warmth of the wig quite palpable. Yet every time I paused before the camera, dialed in the right angle, and witnessed the finished shots, every bit of early preparation felt entirely justified. In cosplay, polishing the fine details and executing them on site are equally vital. I hope these Convention photos let everyone feel Elysia's radiant charm.
