[Myrtle cosplay] Refreshing Summer Beach Journey

This time I'm bringing you a Beach Swimsuit photoshoot of Myrtle from Arknights. The location was set at an artificial Beach lounge area. To recreate the character's lively and outgoing vibe, I specially paired a white ruffled midriff-baring Swimsuit with a lightweight sun-protection sheer cover-up.

In terms of styling, the reddish-brown twin tails are the soul of the look. I specifically picked a wig with great drape, trimmed the bangs, and accented it with red floral hairpins. To highlight the character's playful charm, I wore green colored contacts and pink blush; the overall makeup was clean and delicate, which, paired with pointed elf ear props, captured the character's spirit beautifully.

Prop preparation during the shoot was also essential: a wooden beach chair, a yellow swim ring, a white parasol, and a watermelon drink served in a red gourd-shaped cup. These props nicely filled the frame, making the composition richer and elevating the summer ambiance.

The sunlight was very intense on the shoot day, and the Beach glare was quite blinding. To find good lighting, we alternated back and forth between shaded spots and direct sunlight. For seated poses, throwing a peace sign and crossing legs helped elongate leg proportions, showcasing a summer feel while maintaining the character's cuteness.

In post-production color grading, I mainly preserved the warm yellow tones of the Beach, slightly reducing the saturation of the sky and background to make the white outfit and red hair pop even more. The overall style turned out fresh and natural. This was a wonderful outdoor photoshoot experience; interacting with props and the lens provided great insights, and making adjustments from makeup to costume fit made it all come together.
