[Ishtar Cosplay] The Useless Goddess of Fate/Grand Order Appears

These convention photos were taken on June 9, 2024, at the Blue Sky Anime Convention, shot by photographer Itsuka Shirin. Let's dive straight into the details of this set. To faithfully recreate this outfit, the deep blue skirt uses a special starry fabric that glitters under various convention hall lights, layered over a puffy petticoat trimmed with white ruffles for great depth. The long, white opera gloves paired with blue ribbons at the wrists provide a clean visual touch. On my feet, glossy black patent chunky-heel Mary Jane shoes paired with white ankle ribbons created a wonderful elongating effect when sitting on the steps. The long wig, accented with ribbons and a cross accessory, took considerable effort to style and maintain. As for interpreting the character of Ishtar in Fate/Grand Order: despite her grand divine status and the Bull of Heaven lore, her personality carries that signature blend of tsundere charm and clumsy foolishness. Teased as the "useless goddess," I tried to capture her slightly willful and playful demeanor through my posing. The shoot took place primarily along outdoor steps and in front of the convention center's glass doors. Because of the high heels, taking the seated shots on the stone steps required careful balance adjustments to make the extended leg appear straighter and longer, with the white ribbon adding a nice accent that flattered leg lines and let the skirt's lace pleats display their full volume. Having the golden treasure chest prop beside me as loot added a fun narrative touch. In front of the glass doors, we captured standing poses, lifting the skirt, and looking back over my shoulder, where the long hair swept dynamically with every turn. The ambient light on-site was rather cool, so the post-processing color grading preserved a cool, moody tone, making the red contact lenses the most striking visual focal point in the frame. The shooting atmosphere was very relaxed, and Itsuka Shirin was fantastic at catching candid moments, yielding very satisfying results. Bringing this Ishtar cosplay to life—from costume and wig to expression management—was an enjoyable process that highlighted the charming contrast between her divinity and everyday goofiness.
