For this shoot, I chose the 'Blue Reimu' variation of Reimu Hakurei from Touhou Project. The blue-and-white color palette of the attire, enriched by layered lace and delicate floral accents, felt truly unique to wear.

Starting with the wardrobe, the fabric quality was superb: the wide obi sash featured brocade embroidery, accented along the hem with pearls and hanging tassels that added multi-dimensional depth. The detached billowing sleeves were decorated with intricate motifs. While putting the outfit together was quite tedious, the effort was entirely worth it to honor the original design. Wearing geta clogs over white tabi socks elongated leg proportions cleanly, though navigating across the tatami mats in them definitely took a bit of practice.

For makeup, bright blue circle lenses paired with soft crimson eye makeup created a high-contrast visual punch. To reflect Blue Reimu's aloof, cool demeanor, I focused on crisp, poised postures.

The set was staged as a Japanese garden featuring wooden lattice paper sliding doors, stone lanterns, and gravel pathways, complemented by warm amber continuous lighting that fit the mood effortlessly. As for props, handheld paper talismans and floral boughs hung with white shide streamers infused traditional cultural charm into each composition. Holding the elongated shide branch in particular required dialing in precise angles so the fluttering paper looked naturally airy on camera.

Throughout the shoot, the photographer explored sitting, standing, and leg-lifting poses to highlight both the costume lines and body silhouette. In particular, the close-ups of the spell cards and the wide full-body standing shots benefited from the penetrating illumination, yielding fantastic textural depth.

Overall, the intricate details of this outfit set a high standard for Anime-style photography. Catching the folds of the skirt pleats and the delicate weave of the broad sleeves demanded precise light falloff to reveal their craftsmanship. The session ran smoothly as a heartfelt Japanese-style photoshoot, serving as a cherished creative milestone in my cosplay journey.
