This time, we locked our focus onto the streets of Changgang Villa. Instead of overly complex studio sets, we utilized the abundant natural daylight combined with everyday elements like streets, trees, and brick flowerbeds to reproduce that faint, everyday texture of the character.

Speaking of this outfit, the red-and-white color scheme of the cardigan knit sweater is a point I am highly satisfied with in my personal styling. Its neckline perfectly reveals a section of the white shirt's turnover collar, with a black bow tied tightly just below, adding a wealth of three-dimensional layers to the overall look. The white short skirt with three layers of ruffles is one of the core pieces of this look. Under the gentle brushing of the outdoor breeze, it naturally presents a fluffy and lightweight silhouette. During the shoot, one must remember to smooth out the folds of the skirt hem at any moment to keep the lines clean. For the stockings, I specially selected a style with lace borders and black lace-up designs, effectively reducing the flat monotony brought by pure white in this white thigh-highs outfit. Combined with that pair of highly vintage red chunky-heeled Mary Janes, the overall red-white-black color clash can be considered a signature style for this character.

Regarding the shoot, the streets around Changgang Villa in Panyu are truly incredibly photogenic. The pavement is smooth, and the background buildings and greenery present soft color tones once blurred, making it perfect for yielding this kind of Japanese style street photography. This session also showcases great opportunities for photography in Guangzhou.

To deliver that subtle, implicit atmosphere of "What a coincidence, I'm waiting for you," we refrained from staring directly at the lens with overly deliberate expressions, which would appear too aggressive. More often, I chose to be captured through candid micro-movements. For instance, slightly shifting my center of gravity while naturally keeping my legs together allows the body lines to present a posture filled with a sense of reserve during constriction. Or the bouquet of small daisies in my hand, tilted slightly outward, combined with a tilted head angle, can naturally guide the line of sight downward or outward. There's also the white beret, which can be held in hand as a prop or worn on the head as an accessory; casually adjusting its tilt can express that effortless nonchalance characteristic of the character.

The actual shooting process was quite interesting too. Because the weather and lighting shifted rapidly, backlighting captured a beautiful glowing effect on the edges of my hair, which became the highlight of this entire photo set. When facing the camera, breathing rhythm is exceptionally important. Slowing down slightly, or holding some props in hand like the daisies and a light-colored patterned shoulder bag, can make the arm posture look much more natural without appearing stiff or awkward.

Looking back at the final photos, one realizes that the scattered lens flares filling the sky, the shallow depth of field blur brought by the wide aperture, and the translucent white stockings mapped under backlighting actually require zero excessive post-processing. Nature's light and shadow serve as the best possible filter. Often, I prefer to preserve that translucency in the raw photos, even adding just a touch of airy atmosphere, giving the entire frame more room to breathe. For a character like Megumi Kato, doesn't her charm lie exactly in that quality of seemingly having no presence, yet always bringing warmth to others at the perfect moment? Attempting to approach this inner temperament of the character through this set of photos, and recording a clear girlhood atmosphere amid the mundane flavor of daily life, was the most joyful part of this shoot.

Although walking around on the uneven pavement required extra caution due to the chunky heels I was wearing, these slight inconveniences were entirely worth it to match the character's image and present the most natural state. Quite a few photos in this set utilized a wide aperture to blur the background, turning the orange traffic cones on the roadside and the greenery in the distance into soft color blocks, thereby highlighting the main subject even more. This street snap session at Changgang Villa can be counted as a highly pleasant shooting experience. The final photo effects turned out warmer and brighter than expected, matching the character's temperament beautifully. I hope this photo set brings a relatively relaxed viewing experience.
