Just finished this white studio photography shoot for Cifera Cosplay, and while it's fresh in my mind, I want to record all the little details and thoughts from preparation to shooting in this piece of Coser daily life.

Choosing white studio photography this time made me a bit worried at first. Because the outfit itself is a black-and-gold color scheme accented with vibrant blue, the color contrast is very strong; a dark background might have fully brought out that mysterious, cunning vibe. However, after seeing the final results, the pure white studio actually brought an unexpectedly refreshing feel, making all the intricate costume details extraordinarily clear. In particular, the top—which combines patent leather texture with slightly elastic fabric—created beautiful reflective sheen under the pure studio soft light. It didn't look oily at all, while completely showcasing that sleek, form-fitting look.

Speaking of costume texture, the biggest challenge this time was actually those intricate metal accessories. From the sapphire-like mechanical structures on the shoulders to the gold metal leg guards on the legs, every piece needed to fit snugly so it wouldn't loosen during large movements. I especially want to mention these metal leg guards—they're one of my favorite parts of this look. It's not just a decoration, but a balancing factor. When shooting dynamic poses with wide strides and a low center of gravity, the metallic weight of the leg guards paired with the tightness of the costume created a wonderful equilibrium. To maintain that nimble lightness during shooting, I did plenty of jumping around in the studio. I had to land silently while keeping my gaze on point; thankfully, the sprinting poses captured in the end truly carried that air-cleaving tension.

The hood and tail are also the soul of this outfit. The fluffy tail was perfected later on, because during the studio shoot, the tail needed to swing naturally with my body movements. Capturing the motion blur of the tail during dynamic shots made it feel incredibly lively. The hood was fantastic for framing the face, which, combined with that halo of smooth white hair, softened the 2D character's facial contour while keeping a feline sense of alertness and agility.

In arranging the poses, I attempted to capture her sly yet confident trait of existing outside of time. For example, sitting on the folding ladder looks casual, but actually requires strong core support to keep the spine straight, while letting fingers rest naturally near the lips to display a masterful sense of ease. On the other hand, a low hunting stance demanded solid wrist strength in the arms so that limbs could remain stretched out even at an extremely low center of gravity.

Going through the whole movement sequence, beyond demanding physical flexibility, the costume's fabric was also a major test. Because the arm section features a paneled design combined with fingerless gloves and metal claws, large action ranges immediately created a feeling of restraint around the edges. Therefore, many of the dynamic shots were actually accomplished after repeatedly adjusting positions and controlling joint angles.

For this shoot, photographer Mizui was amazing at capturing the instantaneous explosive force in movements. White studio photography gave me huge room to express myself—without fancy scenery distractions, all focus centered on the costume tension, expressions, and body language of the 2D character. This look blended mysterious, agile, slightly dangerous yet playful aura exceptionally well. Although crawling around the floor in boots and armor put my knees and elbows through quite a test, seeing the final selected photos makes you feel a surge of power inside those static frames. As described, she runs through the crevices of time. For a cosplayer in Coser daily life, recreating such a lore setting through movement and expression is immensely rewarding in itself.
