To make my body lines look more in line with the character's sleekness, I made some adjustments to the inner wear to ensure it wouldn't look bulky regardless of the pose. The texture of the wig is also something I highly valued—pink and white gradient blending into blue at the tips, paired with an elf ear outfit and braids. Under the cool white light of the exhibition hall, the fluffiness of the hair strands looked very soft, without being styled too stiffly, preserving a natural, breathable feel.
Capturing the \"five Cyrene plushies\" was actually an unexpected surprise. Before, I thought I had only brought two, but on-site I discovered that three smaller ones were still stuffed in the trunk, so I just decided to display them all. Those placed on the ground and carried on my shoulders actually played a major role in balancing the overall composition. The posture of standing slightly sideways in the first photo, along with the Cyrene plushies sitting on the ground, naturally guides the viewer's eyes to the character herself without making the frame look too thin. When shooting a badminton-themed scene, the hardest part is actually the coordination between the props and the body. If the badminton racket is held too straight, it will severely block the face, so I basically treated it as an extension of my body lines—leaning it against my shoulder or extending it slightly outward, which makes the muscles of the shoulders and neck look nicer in the shot.
Regarding this venue, the lighting on that day was actually quite complex. The square LED fill light in the third photo was mainly used to slightly enhance the texture of the face and collarbone area. In such large venues, cool-toned reflections can easily make the skin look grayish-blue, so during the pre-shooting stage, I adjusted the camera's white balance to be warmer by about 200 Kelvin, and then toned it back to this clear and transparent look in post-processing. The pixelated heart speech bubble added in the fourth photo was to add a touch of playful fun to this set of photos. Since I was indeed shooting very happily and felt quite relaxed that day, I casually pasted a small special effect.
The material of the clothing is also worth mentioning. If white fabric is too reflective in bright environments, it can easily overexpose and lose its depth. This set selected a fabric with a bit of woven texture, which has a better diffuse reflection effect. Therefore, even under the premise of sufficient ambient light, you can still see the drawstring on the skirt, the zipper on the chest, and the stitching details on the wristbands, without them blurring into a flat mess. The short skirt's length is just right, beautifully showcasing the leg lines in a sitting posture. Paired with white short socks and sneakers, the overall sporty tone is very consistent.
Whispering some final thoughts: when preparing this outfit and props, I was actually thinking about how to combine the character's cool yet energetic vibe with real sports equipment more naturally. In the end, I realized that subtraction is more important than addition. No need for piling up complex elements; simple color-block contrasts combined with light and shadow can express the desired feeling. I've also seen many friends interested in the details of this outfit. The fabric's breathability and elasticity are quite good; since I had to frequently do court movements, I didn't feel constrained at all. This kind of design that sits between 2D anime and actual activewear is actually quite practical for daily life, though walking down the street with elf ears and a wig indeed gets quite a high rate of second glances. In any case, being able to leave a record of this daily life yet slightly fantastical setup in the exhibition hall feels extremely fitting.
