[Flora Cosplay] Morning Dew Flower Shop in Zenless Zone Zero, A Encounter of Life Between Flowers and Mecha

The Morning Dew Flower Shop booth at Zenless Zone Zero Fes was genuinely one of the most surprising scenes for me at this convention. This time I had the honor to take photos with big Seed as Flora, enjoying a deeply memorable experience from the prep period to the final output.

Regarding this styling, the light blue long side braid is practically the visual focal point of the whole character. The hairstyle design posed high demands on wig quality; it not only needed to maintain a natural braid texture, but also had to refrain from getting messy at the convention. Spending over half a day teasing and setting the wig yielded quite a satisfying result. Costume-wise, the main outfit features a color-block mix of white, black, and orange, with a rigid choker at the collar and cut-out gloves on the arms adding a techwear/tactical feel. Although these accessories carry an armored vibe, the materials were kept lightweight and breathable so as to maintain great energy through most of the event day. The setup involved numerous straps, requiring much effort to adjust each buckle prior to putting it on; however, achieving this state that blends mechanical elements with soft aesthetics was ultimately well worth it.

The most fun part during shooting was interacting with 'Big Seed'. As a massive mecha prop, its white armor with yellow accents looked truly imposing in front of the lens while carrying a strangely adorable charm. To express a sense of bonding between flowers and machinery, life and rigidity, I intentionally chose a pose turning sideways and leaning towards the mecha. The subtle finger movement gently touching the mecha was adjusted several times—it needed to appear natural and intimate without blocking the patterns and markings on the mecha's chest. Due to the mecha's parallax and sheer size, the photographer had to practically lie flat on the ground to find the angle so that both the mecha's torso and I were within the frame, which was really tough work. At that moment, midday sunlight hit the white mecha just right, making reflections look gorgeous; despite the constant flow of people, we managed to capture a quiet moment in between.

Although this Zenless Zone Zero Fes scale leaned more towards a niche, dedicated gaming audience compared to many large commercial conventions, the venue setup quality was fully on par with any major event. I personally loved the Morning Dew Flower Shop theme; green plants and cold, hard mechas created a wonderful contrast. For a niche game with extremely high artistic quality, offline events always bring a lot of extra emotional resonance. Players queuing up for check-ins were all super friendly, and in exchanges with fellow fans, one could feel everyone's passionate love for the Zenless Zone Zero world building.

Speaking of the convention experience, the atmosphere felt like a little utopia belonging to us players. Whether in the dining area or interactive booth games, everything was crafted with a great sense of immersion. Those moments where you cross paths with game characters in 3D reality are truly addictive. I especially hope to have the chance to participate in the next event too. I sincerely hope such dedicated niche gaming exhibitions will continue to be held in Guangzhou; Guangzhou's hosting capacity and player vibe match this kind of event so well. Coming here always lets me feel so much enthusiasm—if it were moved to another city, it would be such a pity for us Guangzhou-Shenzhen local players. I hope for future events, and hope to enjoy the offline charm of gaming together with more fans in an even better finished cosplay state next time.
