This Vivian cosplay is one I'm very satisfied with regarding the costume accuracy. The blue sailor bow tie with a heart-shaped buckle, along with the white ruffled sleeves and shorts, makes the overall color scheme refreshing and a bit playful. The wig is a gradient light purple, and the bow on top of the head along with the pointy elf ears are the soul of the look; putting them on instantly brings out the nimble charm of an other-world girl. This large umbrella in my hand is also specially custom-made. Its pattern and color scheme stay as close to the original game design as possible. When opened, it not only blocks the light but also serves as an excellent photo prop.
During the shoot, we tried different angles; for example, a low-angle shot holding the umbrella high can highlight the silhouette and costume lines, while an eye-level angle better displays the facial makeup and gaze. The makeup this time specially emphasized the purple echo in the eyeshadow to make the gaze look softer. The lighting at the convention was quite complex, but the photographer made excellent use of natural light and fill lights to capture the fabric texture of the clothes. Especially, the white parts were not overexposed, and the blue parts had highly accurate colors. When walking around in this outfit, the ruffles sway gently with the movements. Posing can be a bit more relaxed; adding a touch of casualness makes it look more natural. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in convention photography, successfully presenting Vivian's mysterious yet cute temperament for this Anime cosplay showcase.
