[Jinhsi cosplay] Wuthering Waves Jinhsi's garden stroll

Woke up early today to shoot Jinhsi in the garden, mainly wanting to catch the morning light and shadow. There are really a lot of details in this outfit; the black and gold mandarin collar plus some blue accents give the overall texture a very strong feel. To support the character's aura, I specially prepared a paper umbrella as a prop. The material of the clothes can reflect a bit under strong light, so when walking and leaning against the railing, special attention must be paid to adjusting the angle to avoid large areas of highlights destroying the atmosphere of the frame.
This paper umbrella is actually a bit heavier than expected, especially when holding it to pose while also balancing expression management. While shooting on the bridge, the sunlight directly hit the bridge deck and railing, forming distinct shadows, which added a lot of layering to the frame. To restore the character's cool and detached temperament, I tried my best to keep my gaze looking calm, coordinating with the actions of holding the umbrella and gazing into the distance. The photographer found many high-angle perspectives to showcase the relationship between the entire garden and the figure. During the high-angle shots, the black railings, green water, and trees formed a great background, making the figure wearing light-colored clothes stand out within it.
Actually, I felt quite a bit of pressure when cosplaying this character because I love the original work so much and wanted to restore that feeling as much as possible. The facial makeup also specially elongated the eyeliner, paired with light-colored contact lenses and a tear mole, hoping to better match the character's gaze. What came as a pleasant surprise was that today under the sunlight, the silver-gray wig didn't look abrupt at all; paired with the colors of the flowers and trees in the garden, it had a wonderful sense of harmony. When moving around, the layers of the dress hem would also sway along, capturing quite a few good actions.
Doing an outdoor location shoot is a test of both physical stamina and mental state, but seeing the sunlight, garden, water views, and paper umbrella blend together, I felt that waking up early and all the hard work were completely worth it. The colors of this set of pictures are very warm, and the light and shadow are also delicate; I hope you all will like this style of presentation. Moving forward, I will continue to try more outdoor location shoots, conveying the character's sense of story through photographs.
