This Jinhsi Dreaming of Mountains and Rivers cosplay finished photo set took a long time to prepare; from the Hanfu self-styling to prop selection, every detail was meticulously deliberated. The garment is a pure white cross-collar wide-sleeved long dress made of lightweight material with exceptional draping. When moving or when the wind blows, the skirt hem and sleeves present a gorgeous wave-like motion. For the hairstyle, silver long twin-tails were chosen, matched with light blue hair ribbons, along with elf ears and light-colored contact lenses. The face intentionally features blended red makeup around the corners of the eyes and cheeks to match that aloof yet slightly fragile atmospheric vibe.

The weather on the shooting day was wonderfully cooperative, featuring both a falling-snow winter scene and a drizzly, cool-toned rainy environment. In the ancient architecture railing photo group, to accentuate body shape, I kept my back as straight as possible, adopting a sideways or slightly leaning forward posture when sitting on the railing so the skirt hem stacked naturally beside me. When holding the umbrella, arm strength is required to control its angle properly so the umbrella surface doesn't block too much light, while the gaze should look slightly upward or toward the side to coordinate with the cheek makeup. When holding a folding fan or sword, wrist tension is crucial—it shouldn't be too stiff; slightly bending the arm reveals the lines.

The photos on the pond rocks were the most difficult, because the stone surface was slippery; wearing thin-soled cloth shoes, I had to maintain balance on them while rotating my body and tossing the skirt hem. Tossing the skirt cannot rely solely on the arms; waist strength must be utilized to drive the overall rotation to capture that floating, graceful feel. Shooting in rainy and snowy weather severely tests one's state; snowflakes melt upon falling onto hair and clothes, requiring the assistant to tidy things up promptly outside the frame. Because the costume is all-white, it's exceptionally prone to picking up mud and water stains outdoors, requiring careful checks of the skirt hem's edges after every single completed pose. The color tone of this photo set uniformly leans cool, with post-processing strengthening the blue and grayscale values to make the white within the frame and the natural environment create a breathing sense of space. During composition, I experimented with low-angle and overhead perspectives; especially the top-down angle on the pond rock wonderfully displayed the entire bodily posture. The entire process involved continuously adjusting the center of gravity, controlling expressions, and coordinating timing with the photographer. After finishing the shoot, my entire body was shivering from the cold, but upon witnessing the moment of the skirt hem fluttering in the finished photos, it all felt thoroughly worthwhile.
