When shooting this Jinhsi cosplay from Wuthering Waves, I specially chose a long corridor with wooden railings as the main location. The transition of light and shadow in this kind of structure is incredibly natural, perfectly complementing the texture of the wig and the sheer fabric of the skirt. This Jinhsi outfit has a wealth of details, such as the pink-and-white gradient fabric, the golden patterns on the chest and waist, and the pearl chains and flower accessories on the head. During post-processing, care was needed to preserve the layers of metallic reflection and fabric transparency. For the shoot, I used a round fan embroidered with peach blossoms as a prop; its pattern matched the main color scheme beautifully, making it versatile for sitting compositions or for diffusing harsh overhead sunlight. To mirror the character's unique gaze, I wore pink-toned contact lenses, which, along with the gradient eye makeup, gave the eyes a more dynamic look. The trees on both sides of the corridor created dappled light patterns in the afternoon sun, casting soft, natural shadows over the collarbone and shoulders without looking harsh. For poses, I tried natural sitting stances and slight side-profile angles, letting the dress drape naturally to form crisp fold lines, enhancing the overall atmosphere. For traditional or fantasy-themed Cosplay photography, blending the initial lighting with the ambient colors is actually far more critical than simply stacking post-processing special effects. This set of photos perfectly retains the cool yet gentle color tone I envisioned.
