When shooting this set of Blue Archive Tanga Ibuki cosplay photos, the core idea was to strip away complex emotional rendering, purely restoring that child-like innocence and just-right playful charm.

Regarding styling, the black-and-red interwoven navy-style jacket, white inner collar, and bright yellow short boots form a highly color-saturated Anime-style uniform outfit that crafts the character's first impression and sets the visual color palette for this shoot. During preparations, the most painstaking task was trimming and teasing the wig; to achieve fluffy, layered long blonde hair for this Blonde loli cosplay, we had to adjust the original hair grain to fit the head mold while ensuring a smooth transition at the tips so it wouldn't look overly heavy.

For facial makeup, I selected a base foundation matching skin tone to build a translucent, fair-skinned texture, while layering pink blush smudging heavily around the eyes and cheeks. This under-eye blush technique perfectly captures the character's slightly flushed, innocent vibe. Wearing amber contact lenses echoes the blonde hair, intensifying eye contact so that her facial expressions remain clear and vivid even under soft lighting.

Props served as an indispensable soul in this photoset. The white bird doodle drawn on that spiral sketchpad is an iconic exterior identifier of her character. During shooting, to recreate the naive charm unique to children's doodles, we deliberately blunted the white bird's eyes and beak, consciously leaving unevenly smeared blue background strokes to simulate authentic crayon texture. Meanwhile, the brown teddy bear hanging from the garment chain was consistently positioned near the center of frame during composition; inserting plush elements effectively softened the rigid feeling of the uniform, imbuing the overall look with extra softness.

In terms of posing, we experimented with diverse camera positions to switch emotional moods. For standing poses, I raised one hand high—a seemingly simple motion that rigorously tested control over loose sleeves; to prevent wide cuffs from appearing bulky in frame, sleeve crease directions had to be manually adjusted when raising my arm. For sitting shots, to emphasize her young stature, the photographer frequently used high-angle overhead or low eye-level angles, while I naturally curled my legs with soles turned slightly outward, presenting a completely relaxed state. Bright yellow boots on the cool-toned reflective tile floor proved extraordinarily eye-catching, where classic yellow, black, and red color-blocking kept visuals vibrant without feeling cluttered.

The venue was an indoor environment where large expanses of highly reflective white ceramic floor tiles provided stellar bounce light. Although indoor ambient daylight was somewhat flat, we leveraged ambient reflections from surrounding elements and metal railings as supplementary fill light. This clean, translucent, slightly cool-textured background perfectly elevated character color contrast to its peak.

For close-up framing, I tried tucking my hands inside the sleeve cuffs. The oversized cuffs not only added volumetric weight, but also formed a visual cue resembling a hug; paired with slightly downturned eyes, this evoked a needy yet independent aura for this Cute girl. Using a wide aperture, the photographer blurred distant staircases and handrails into soft bokeh circles; this clean background bokeh remained crisp without distracting from the character focal point.

The shoot duration was brief yet highly efficient, key to which was accurately grasping character temperament beforehand. Ibuki's charm lies not in forced sweetness, but in that slightly mischievous, unrestrained casualness—precisely the emotion I most wanted to convey in this set. Rather than forcing complex, high-difficulty poses, letting motion flow through a lowered head or a glance upward allowed candid capture of her most natural expressions. Although this costume contains rich elements, finding that single instant during photography that most harmonizes with the character transforms flat photos into a vivid, living portrait.
