For this shoot of Alice's swimsuit look from Zenless Zone Zero, we experimented with shooting indoors using broad natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows. The location was a walkway corridor inside a public exhibition hall; although the surroundings were bustling, the crisp daylight and reflections from the glass curtain wall provided a wonderfully clear, luminous texture to the frames. For the wig, I styled a side braid paired with a white headband and spotted animal ears, making the overarching palette remarkably vibrant. Reddish-brown contacts and coordinating makeup were tailored to match the character's visual features, keeping my gaze crystal-clear under daylight.
Wardrobe-wise, the white sleeveless fitted tank top paired with a pink-and-white color-blocked miniskirt radiates pure summertime vibes. The utility belt is the focal point of the styling, adorned with vividly colored accessories in pink, green, and yellow; I intentionally adjusted their placement so they cascaded naturally across various sitting poses to enrich the image's chromatic depth. The seam between the pink neckerchief and white collar was crafted with meticulous care. For footwear, I chose white platform sandals accented with pink straps and pearl embellishments, where black ankle ties created a sharp contrast against the pastel palette. On the prop side, a blue-and-white inflatable swim ring served as a key storytelling anchor throughout—whether reclining, sitting cross-legged, or kneeling sideways, interacting with the prop facilitated organic bodily movement and prevented stiffness.
During the session, photographer 嚓啷 captured the light and shadow contours brilliantly. We explored reclining while propping myself up with one hand, sitting by the window ledge lightly touching my head, and extending both arms forward. Because the direct daylight by the glass was intense—even casting natural specular highlights across the skin—virtually no heavy retouching was needed in post-production, keeping colors authentic in an almost pure SOOC cosplay delivery. The expansive glass windows paired with the marble floor textures crafted a bright, refreshing indoor ambiance.
When holding these postures, balancing your center of gravity is crucial. For instance, sitting cross-legged atop the inflatable ring requires keeping the back straight to showcase the waistline; sitting sideways along the window ledge with one knee bent and the other leg dangling naturally utilized the platform sandals to visually elongate the leg contours. While adjusting poses to chase shifting lighting angles was tiring, the resulting chiaroscuro textures and color fidelity made every bit of effort worthwhile.
