Slipping into this dark blue School swimsuit really felt like stepping back into school days. As for that line "Does the Disciplinary Committee Member's swimsuit still fit?", it indeed felt extra tight during fitting, so before each shoot, I made sure to do some serious light stretching and warm-up exercises. The pose in the first photo where I stretch out both arms serves as a silent response to that gentle reminder.

The core of this styling is the silver-white long wavy wig. To capture the crisp feel of the high ponytail, I spent a lot of effort brushing it out and used plenty of setting spray and volumizing tools to ensure the top had enough volume to hold up the small red hair clips on both sides. Hanging around my neck is the iconic red lanyard attached to a slightly subtle orange-red whistle, paired with the hand-written name tag on my chest—all indispensable soul elements for this character. Dressing up fully in it gave me a strong sense of immersion every time.

Because the cut of a School swimsuit is so body-hugging, body curves are showcased very directly. Shooting across different scenes required delicate control of lighting and atmosphere. For the bathtub shot, my ankles were actually submerged in water while finding the right pose; to prevent water splashes from ruining my makeup or soaking the outfit, I repeatedly adjusted my posture. Sitting on the rim of the tub with hands resting naturally on my knees, that slightly tilted-up gaze was polished in front of the mirror for a long time—aiming to retain a touch of the Disciplinary Committee Member's serious coldness without appearing overly rigid.

The bed set completely switched to a different mood. Natural sunlight poured through the window onto white sheets, and sinking into the soft bed felt extraordinarily relaxing and cozy. That homey, languid state formed a striking contrast with the usual upright, whistle-wearing image, letting me experience a more vivid side of the character beneath the uniform.

The set sitting on a futon cushion by the windowsill utilized large floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor greenery as a backdrop. Although there were some reflections on the window glass, the natural light helped me relax my posture, loosening up shoulder and neck lines that were previously a bit tense.

To be honest, a School swimsuit is quite a challenging outfit type to pull off in Anime cosplay. Though simple in design without extraneous decorations, it places extremely high demands on the cosplayer's figure. Not only can there be no excess fat, but good shoulder and back lines are also needed to support the overall cut. To capture this set well, I strictly controlled my diet and increased my daily workout routine a week prior to the shoot, otherwise worrying I wouldn't do justice to this swimsuit.

Then there's the name tag: to pursue greater authenticity, I wrote the name on it by hand. Although it might not be crystal clear under telephoto lenses, this obsession with tiny details is what I consider an essential part of quality cosplay. I also deliberated on the lanyard length several times—it couldn't be too long to look messy, nor too short to choke my neck, finally settling right below the collarbone for a perfect fit.

Physical exertion on the day of the shoot was actually quite high, moving back and forth between the bathtub, bed, and windowsill, while constantly checking whether the wig became messy or the red clips shifted due to movement. But the moment I saw the final photos, all that exhaustion was healed by the atmosphere in the images. The light and shadows in every shot have rich texture, accurately restoring the character's traits while adding a lovely sense of everyday life.

In my view, soulful Cosplay is not merely a stacking of costumes and props, but rather injecting one's understanding of the character's personality in front of the lens. I tried to feel the Disciplinary Committee Member's sense of duty and order in school life, alongside the casualness and relaxation revealed once responsibilities are cast off. I hope this photo set conveys an alternative side of her daily life. This swimsuit is indeed tough to wear, but to get as close as possible to the original character image, every effort was completely worth it.
