[Sunna Cosplay] Mint Cupcake in Zenless Zone Zero

The mint cupcake from our white studio photography session is finally out! This time bringing Sunna cosplay in her Angels of Delusion cosplay look from Zenless Zone Zero. Putting on this outfit and standing in front of the pure white background makes me feel light all over. This styling retains the character's highly recognizable mint curly hair, decorated on the top and sides with black cat-face clips and cassette tape element hair accessories, paired with pale yellow-green colored contact lenses and peach-toned eye makeup to keep the visual focus on the facial clarity.

The outfit features a classic white shirt base with a red tie printed with white diamond and angel wing patterns—a striking color contrast design. Attention was also paid to fine details like the sunglasses graphic on the chest, as well as small items like the choker and earrings; completing these accessories truly elevates the character's completion level significantly. Most eye-catching are the pink-and-white horizontal stripe elements running through the entire look, from arm sleeves to thigh-high socks, which not only visually elongate proportions but also fill the entire outfit with 2D vitality and energy. The black layered ruffled skirt, paired with pink straps on the thigh and a small pouch featuring a smiley face pattern, adds a touch of punk and playfulness to sweetness. Wearing a pink backpack and white geometric line mini wings recreates the lightweight tactical equipment unique to the character design. The pink-and-white prop megaphone held in hand also has plenty of details; the mint green bow knot and black mesh panel on the body echo the overall style wonderfully.

Under the soft ambient lighting of the white studio, the skin tone appears exceptionally fair and the image is crisp and clean. Shooting with photographer Qianyu Yixiang_Yizaki was an absolute pleasure; he captured the essence of this outfit remarkably well. To express a playful and cute vibe, I tried various angles, including a squatted pose resting cheeks on hands for soft cuteness, lively interactions with the camera from the side, and a dynamic aiming action holding the prop. Especially the photo with head tilted making a peace sign hit the description of a mint cupcake perfectly—sweet without being overly cloying. In post-processing, these photos maintained the original transparency of the white studio without over-editing, highlighting the color contrast and 3D dimension of the character styling.

Through this shoot, I gained a deeper understanding of Sunna; although the character lore includes many combat elements, this Angels of Delusion costume version overall releases a relaxed and lively signal. A lot of prep work went in beforehand from wig styling to prop making. For example, the mint curly hair easily gets messy, so on set we frequently sprayed styling spray to maintain its fluffiness. The elasticity of the pink striped leg sleeves was just right, not pinching the skin when squatting, ensuring smooth movement. Although the prop looks light, it actually carries some weight; holding it for a long time made my arm sore. The greatest advantage of white studio photography is relying completely on light and shadow to highlight texture without complex backgrounds distracting attention. I was thrilled when this set came out, presenting this full-of-energy style to everyone. Shooting in a white studio tests not only expressiveness but also confidence in character styling. For this release, the wig and costume were adjusted several times before reaching the clean, refreshing state shown in the photos. Hope these dedicated details convey the character's charm!
