The charm of Texas lies in her cold, sharp, and aloof temperament. For these Convention photos, I prepared a black leather trench coat paired with a high-neck base layer; the authentic texture and weight of the Leather jacket stood out remarkably on camera. Trimming and styling the wig took considerable time, particularly finessing the side locks and airy volume. The animal ear props also required angle adjustments to sit naturally without looking jarring.
The Greatsword prop in hand was the true centerpiece of this shoot. Featuring a red-and-black gradient blade with an intricate crossguard, it carried noticeable heft, but holding it to strike poses dialed the combat intensity up instantly. The mechanical claws were custom-made as well; their metallic luster gleamed with rich texture under convention hall lighting, pairing with leather gloves to maximize the tactical realism of her operational attire.
The ambiance at the Itasha convention in Tanzhou was phenomenal, and the itasha backdrop felt tailor-made for Texas. The car's black-and-red wrap covered in anime motifs generated striking visual impact through the lens. To match this urban combat vibe, I explored multiple dynamic angles. Kneeling on one knee to showcase leg lines and the sheer texture of the Black stockings required countless micro-adjustments—ensuring the full sword stayed in frame while anchoring my center of gravity. Crouching and seated poses focused more on highlighting the drape of the Leather jacket and the physical tension of the silhouette. Sitting on the suitcase with crossed legs effectively elongated visual proportions, while the pairing of Black stockings and combat boots elevated her crisp, capable presence.
The Siracusa lore carries an aura of damp gunsmoke and grit, so I deliberately avoided soft or delicate posing. Expression and gaze control were paramount; I maintained a vigilant, confident composure to echo the line: "Filthy rain brings no cleanliness; that is Siracusa." The shooting was demanding—posing in a heavy Leather jacket inside the convention hall required constant resets of the wig and mantle, as a single gust of ventilation could undo meticulous styling.
Yet seeing the interplay of light and shadow in the final edits, especially the moment the red lining flared outward, made every bit of effort worthwhile. This setup tested physical endurance while requiring exacting fidelity down to every detail: waist charms, metallic buckles, and the white trim along the boots were adjusted repeatedly. The Greatsword prop caught environmental reflections brilliantly, creating sharp contrast between the crimson blade and black Leather jacket. I hope these images convey Texas's raw, unvarnished strength that strikes straight to the heart.
