[Tachibana Nozomi cosplay] Dark blue uniform and light green hair, recreating Blue Archive's Highlander Twins

Styling this look after Tachibana Nozomi of the Highlander Twins in Blue Archive, the uniform design turned out much more complex than expected. First was the wig—while this light green long hair complements skin tone nicely, it easily looks frizzy. To recreate that layered luster, I used hair wax and setting spray to support the two horn-like tufts on top. Paired with elf ear prosthetic props and gold earrings, the visual contour of my face popped out completely. As for makeup, since the character has amber eyes, I selected bright contact lenses, combining them with technique emphasizing aegyo sal and blush to project an approachable yet energetic charm.

Moving on to the uniform, the navy blue main tone paired with bright yellow braided cords and a striking blue-and-white armband gives it instant recognition. The cropped cut perfectly exposes the waistline, while copper buttons display great texture under lighting. Epaulets and front collar details look simple, but fine stitching craftsmanship is required to hold up that crisp silhouette. What caught my attention most was the pair of white gloves—once put on, my aura immediately gained the ceremonial feel of a railway attendant in this Uniform cosplay; whether adjusting my hat brim or extending a guiding hand during shooting, my gestures naturally became elegant.

During shooting, I used a pure white door indoors as the background to maximize contrast for the character's color scheme. In the first close-up, I intentionally stuck my tongue out, giving this otherwise serious uniform look a cute and playful contrast. The second shot featured a hand-on-hip open-palm pose, aiming to demonstrate a confident and eager-to-serve stance. The last photo, lightly smiling while touching the hat brim, felt most aligned with my mindset for this cosplay—balancing professional dignity with a personal touch of casual ease.

Pre-production for costume, makeup, and props took considerable effort. For instance, while the wig seems like simple straight hair at first glance, layering had to be adjusted repeatedly to avoid blocking the prosthetic elf ears and earrings. Then there were the yellow badge and shoulder cords—though non-luminous, character details accumulate piece by piece like this. The overall final images matched my expectations well, leaving me satisfied with the uniform's crisp structure and prop completion.

Translating in-game designs into reality—fabric selection, accessory securing, and makeup application—creates subtle chemical reactions at every step. Trying out lighting and angles during the shoot, I discovered that the uniform's navy blue displays varying textures under different lights, which is precisely what makes real-world outfits more intriguing than 3D models.
