This set of photos has finally been edited and is ready to share. Truth be told, the weather on the shoot day wasn't great—a gentle drizzle kept coming down, leaving the ground slick and wet—yet it was precisely this rainy night ambiance that convinced me we had to bring out the true spirit of Tanikaze Amane's look. To ensure clarity and transparency in the visuals, we deliberately chose a pedestrian footbridge featuring metallic railings and a backdrop of city high-rises. Combined with the clear umbrella, the reflections of raindrops pattering against the canopy served as a natural decorative accent.

I spent a long time fine-tuning the details of the costume and wig. The short pink wig needed to be trimmed to capture that signature weightless feel—the ends couldn't be too dense, and the bangs required a light, airy texture. A crisp white shirt paired with a yellow tie was layered under deep purplish-red suspenders and a pleated skirt; to give the hemline richer dimension, I deliberately preserved the black lace bordering the edge. The trickiest element was undoubtedly styling the black stockings with the garter belt. This design really tests maintenance while walking and lifting the legs, so I spent considerable time adjusting the strap placement before shooting to ensure it looked natural yet visually dynamic in frame. Slipping into platform leather shoes elevated my overall center of gravity, meaning leaning against the railing required core engagement to keep body lines elegant and extended—all to showcase the character's slightly tsundere yet confident presence.

Immense gratitude goes to our photographer, Tianqiu Xia de Qiji. In a Night portrait, the hardest challenge is managing light. We used a key light to illuminate the face, complemented by rim lighting to carve the figure cleanly out of the dark backdrop. Combining night scenery with falling rain means harsh lighting would make the skin look coarse, while overly soft light would introduce blurriness, so we micro-adjusted the lighting setup with every pose change. We tried a vast variety of camera angles: frontal shots gazing straight into the lens to capture eye emotion, as well as low-angle side shots that elongated leg proportions to highlight the lines of the Black stockings. To mirror her signature playful, cheeky banter, I made an effort to relax before the camera—nodding my chin slightly, balancing on one foot, and even murmuring 'baka onii-chan' under my breath to bring out that subtly provocative yet thoroughly adorable charm.

The final shots turned out even better than anticipated: the soft bokeh of the rainy night, the subtle rust on the railings, and the fine lace textures of the skirt were all captured with crisp definition. Even though the breeze atop the footbridge was chilly and puddles underfoot demanded careful footing, seeing the interplay of light and raindrops across the photos made every bit of effort worthwhile. Complex movements weren't necessary; sometimes just a glance or the subtle lift of a leg, set against the city's neon backdrop, is enough to fully immerse the frame in narrative depth. I hope everyone enjoys this rainy night portrayal, and I will continue exploring characters of different styles to deliver the best state possible with every shutter click.
