I finally organized these Chastise Sin & Chase Shadow Cosplay event photos! Diving straight into the topic, let me share my overall impressions from the shooting day. As a veteran player of Honkai Impact 3rd, the character of Kallen—my ultimate favorite—has always held a very special place in my heart. Being able to perfectly present this Chastise Sin & Chase Shadow attire on-site was a truly special experience for me.
Let's first talk about the costume and prop details. Combining fabric clothing with armor pieces is quite tricky; the white armor plates on the chest and shoulders are relatively rigid, requiring a snug fit without restricting movement. The blue mechanical structure at the neck is very detailed, standing out clearly even in a convention hall with complex lighting. The most fun part was holding the primary weapon prop gun—whether gripping or raising it, I found plenty of supportive angles ideal for posing. As for the bright orange-red ruffled sleeves on my arms, they are a major source of visual impact in this outfit; offering a strong wrapped feel, they complement the dark-toned black skirt and shoulder armor, blending cool poise with vibrant energy. The nude-toned thigh garters and black tall boots flatter leg lines nicely, making the overall silhouette look much crisper.
These images are Cosplay event photos captured right on the convention floor; the blurred bokeh in the background actually came from the venue's overhead ceiling lights. The photographer spent a lot of time finding angles to capture these natural light and shadow effects. Because the light background was soft and subtle, the entire photoset carried an inherent cool, sci-fi atmosphere. The hardest part of shooting was carving out space among the crowded passersby while maintaining dignified poise and power in every pose. Photo 1 is a front full-body stance; considering composition and presentation, I deliberately tilted my center of gravity slightly, which not only visually elongated my legs but also allowed me to hold the weapon naturally in front of my body. Photos 2 and 3 feature half-body and side-profile gun-wielding poses, displaying the sharp lines of the outfit and the character's heroic spirit from different angles. With limited break time that day, meeting so many fellow fans and feeling their enthusiasm gave me tremendous energy to stay energized and engaged before the lens. Preparing these Cosplay event photos took a lot of thought—from the flow of the wig strands to the contact lens color, down to checking every piece of gear—all in hopes of delivering an authentic character presence to viewers. Reviewing the raw files after shooting, I found this Chastise Sin & Chase Shadow outfit looked unexpectedly stunning under convention lighting. The blue eyes and silver-white hair complemented each other, and paired with the black-and-white dominant palette of the outfit, the atmosphere was incredibly strong. Posing with this mechanical prop gun brought great dynamic tension to the photos, serving as a rewarding conclusion to all the preparation. Finally, regarding the venue ambiance: convention lighting in Convention photography truly tests a photographer's scene mastery. Fortunately, the coordination went wonderfully, and I am personally very satisfied with how these photos turned out.
