This set of Genshin Impact Klee cosplay photos is a recent work of mine from an outdoor shoot. Taking advantage of having organized the negatives today, I’m posting a long text to talk about the story behind these pictures.

Let's talk about the costume details first. To restore this character's traits, I focused heavily on handling the red coat and white pleated skirt. For the coat, I chose a red fabric with a matte texture so it wouldn't have a cheap plastic reflection under natural light. The brown leather trim along the edges of the coat and the golden four-leaf clover emblems are attached very flatly, trying to replicate the exquisiteness of the in-game model as much as possible. The white neck guard fits very snugly, preventing the neck from looking wide. Looking further down, the white ruffled short skirt is well-layered, and combined with the slouch socks and brown tall boots, it visually elongates the leg proportions while fitting the character's childlike nature. This is the essence of high-quality 2D Cosplay.

The wig and makeup were also heavy focuses of this shoot. For the light golden wig styling, I specially handled the curvature of the bangs and the sideburns on both sides of the cheeks to make the face shape look softer. Paired with the pointy elf ear props, it brings the facial contours closer to 2D traits. The red beret features a white feather with a slightly playful curve; though small, these details pieced together are highly important for the overall character restoration. For the makeup, I used a warm orange-toned eyeshadow paired with light-colored contacts to make the gaze look more translucent. The red lip color also complements this outfit very well.

The scene for this shoot was selected at an outdoor park featuring a windmill and wooden fences. I especially love the use of light and shadow in this photo set. It happens to be autumn right now, and the trees are filled with red, yellow, and green leaves. Natural light filters through the gaps in the trees, forming highly enchanting backlighting and rim light. Especially that last photo sitting on the white fence—the halo of the setting sun falls on the hair strands, making me look all warm and cozy. This is exactly why I chose this one as the cover of this set; its composition is quite stable, the leg lines look very natural, and the red clothing blends exceptionally well with the autumn tones in this autumn outdoor scene. This is a perfect example of outdoor cosplay.

In terms of props, the biggest highlight is that red Jumpy Dumpty plush doll. The plushie is massive and very plumply stuffed, with a white hood and white decorations crafted around the outside. Holding it during photography often blocks the body, but it also increases the possibilities for interaction. Aside from the big bomb, a small white rabbit plush hanger hangs from the backpack; these meticulously prepared accessories are all keys to restoring the character's lifestyle and personality.

Let's talk about the action design during the shoot. Klee is an extremely lively character in the game, so I intentionally added a lot of dynamics when posing. For example, that posture in Picture 2 where I hop on one foot and stretch one hand toward the sky was actually quite a test of stamina; I had to jump continuously several times while controlling my facial expressions to capture a relatively natural shutter moment. As for the shots holding the plushie, I deliberately slowed down the rhythm, softening my gaze a bit, as if truly hugging an important playmate. During outdoor cosplay sessions, because the wind is strong, the wig and hat sometimes fly around crazily, requiring excellent tacit cooperation between the photographer and me.

Overall, being able to capture such warm-toned photos in this season is a highly joyful thing. Although the shooting process was somewhat exhausting, especially walking back and forth between the fences and bushes while holding such a massive prop, seeing the frozen frames in the camera one by one makes me feel all the previous hardships were completely worth it. The smooth presentation of this Genshin Impact Klee cosplay work is inseparable from the hard work of the support crew and the photographer. The light, actions, and costume details of this photo set have all reached the standards in my mind. Sharing this autumn happiness, I hope whoever watches this set of pictures can also feel this full blast of vitality.
