[Klee Cosplay] Genshin Impact's Spark Knight Sends Blessings for Little New Year - Image 1

Little New Year is here, and amidst this vibrant, bustling holiday atmosphere, I wanted to present this long-prepared Genshin Impact Klee look as a special New Year gift for everyone.

Crafting this look involved considerable thought starting right from wig selection. I chose a fluffy, silvery-white short wig with gentle curls that catch the light to produce a soft, warm sheen. Trimming required careful attention to head proportions, ensuring seamless transitions between the bangs and the elven ears; a fair amount of hairspray was applied to lock everything in place so energetic movements wouldn't cause awkward shifting. Custom transparent elven ear extensions were carefully fitted against my ears to achieve both natural skin blending and sturdy placement, keeping them realistic even when turning my head during shots.

Regarding the outfit, the wide-brimmed pointed hat serves as the absolute soul of the look. The striking contrast between black and red delivers strong visual impact, and the brim's curvature was adjusted multiple times to avoid obstructing camera focus. A red bow and metallic badge on the hat add grandeur, with a rose ornament elevating fine details. Black ruffled trim at the collar breaks up the simplicity of the white top. The red waist cincher is a tailoring highlight, using dual leather belts with metallic buckles to define waist proportions while injecting a crisp, tailored feel. Mini red bows on the black gloves echo the hat's accents, achieving color balance across the entire design.

The fluffy white plush prop held in my hands is another delightful touch. Although minimalist in design, internal padding was chosen carefully to convey a soft, harmless loveliness while using pill-resistant outer fabric. Holding the plush required precise technique—conveying childish innocence without obscuring garment details or waistlines.

For the shooting setting, we chose a warm orange backdrop accented with custom illustrations. Professional warm softboxes were deployed on set, casting diffuse light across my face to soften shadows for a clean, fair complexion. A soft-focus filter mounted on the lens gave the frame a dreamy 2D aesthetic. Post-processing focused on preserving this warm tone while subtly tuning contrast so the reds pop vibrantly and the whites remain pure without blown-out highlights that lose fabric texture.

As a cosplayer, portraying Klee requires going beyond superficial costume accuracy. Her genuine liveliness, carefree nature, and boundless curiosity about the world are subtle traits to capture. In front of the camera, I pictured myself in Mondstadt, adventuring alongside friends. Though playful, my eyes needed to shine with pure innocence. Even with the holiday mood, I kept expression management natural rather than forced, offering sincere New Year wishes. After all, on the eve of Chinese New Year, kids look forward to red envelopes most. Speaking of red envelopes, Varka was mentioned in the post—and who could refuse a double blessing from Uncle Varka? Double good fortune is the truest gift.

This entire Cosplay photography project took over two weeks from test makeup to the actual shoot. Coordinating every subtle accessory required careful balance. Though it was cold on set, seeing the festive red outfit and warm holiday energy come alive in the final photos made every effort worthwhile. This post marks both a wrap-up of the past year's cosplay endeavors and a bright beginning for the new year. I hope this festive anime vibe brings a touch of warmth to everyone. Cosplay is all about putting 100% of our real-world heart into restoring the beauty of a virtual world. With Little New Year here, the Spring Festival is just around the corner—wishing everyone smooth sailing and good fortune in the year ahead!
