This set of Nahida cosplay in a maid outfit went through a quite lengthy process of character discussion and outfit material preparation from the planning stage to the final photos. Being able to materialize the vivid and airy feeling imagined in my heart made the overall shooting process very smooth. The outfit itself adopts a refreshing color scheme of white and green, paired with the embellishment of the inner white tulle skirt, which keeps the character's recognition while adding plenty of fairytale dreaminess. The details of the outfit are very sophisticated, with lace trim at the collar and cuffs, paired with gold piping on the dark green neck piece and an amber teardrop gemstone on the chest—these parts look exceptionally charming under the natural light on-site.

For this styling, I chose a long curly wig with a silver-white to light-green gradient. The wig has a large volume, requiring a lot of time the day before the shoot to separate the strands and style natural textures. To match the character's lively and ethereal setting, I specially added elf ears props, partially hidden in the hair strands. Paired with emerald green contact lenses, the overall eye and facial expressions carry a strong sense of a forest elf. In terms of makeup, I opted for a translucent base, paired with light blush and a soft rosy-pink lip glaze to avoid heavy makeup masking the original innocent and gentle aura, while brightening the inner corners of the eyes with pearlescent shimmer to make my gaze look brighter and more spirited.

In terms of outfit coordination, the gold piping echoes the large white bow flower ornament on top, and the off-the-shoulder flutter sleeve design on both sides of the arms visually elongates the neckline and shoulders. The white thin gloves worn on both hands add elegance to every gesture, and paired with that small green gemstone ornament on the chest, every detail reinforces the exquisite feel of the overall look. During the shoot, I brought along a green plush doll as a prop. This doll has a cute smiling face and an orange-yellow top decoration, which is perfect as an interactive item to make hand placement look more natural and neutralize those slightly stiff posed postures.

The choice of scene has a huge impact on the final photos. This time, we primarily used a uniquely decorated little cafe for the on-site shoot. The retro wooden-framed glass door outside, combined with the blurred street view, highlights the main character beautifully. Inside, the flower wall decorated with huge white petals and vibrant orange paper flowers provided an excellent dreamy atmosphere for the entire set of photos, perfectly matching the light feel of this maid outfit. During the shooting process, I tried to break up a single perspective through different postures and gestures, such as leaning sideways against the table, making a peace sign to the camera, or lightly placing a finger by my lips to make a quiet pose—all of these left plenty of room for imagination to extend the story.

I've always felt that when doing this kind of look with a clear character setting, the most important thing is not just the clothes and wig, but also the alignment of facial expressions and body posture. Choosing to try this style full of natural aura and cuteness stems from my personal preference for this kind of charm expression. At the shoot, the photographer was also adjusting the light and shadow and angles in real-time to ensure that the luster on the wig and clothes could present the most ideal state. This communication during our collaboration made the final photos full of surprises.

Finally, during the post-processing phase, the focus was concentrated on blending the skin tone with the character, without excessively cranking up the sharpness and contrast, but rather retaining the soft direction of light and the original fabric texture of the clothes as much as possible. Every moment of leaning forward or slightly tilting my head was recorded; these delicate candid snapshots are often much more moving than deliberate poses. Overall, I am very satisfied with the final presentation of this creation, and it has given me more confidence in my ability to handle this style.
