Sangonomiya Kokomi's non-maid outfit is an attempt to create a texture closer to a combination of her daily shrine maiden identity and her legendary role as a descendant/attendant of the Hydro Archon. Since everyone is joking about whether Kokomi secretly changed into a maid outfit, looking closely at the design, it feels more like a special attire combining Sangonomiya's marine elements with a court dress feel. To reflect that light and water-element-filled power feel, I communicated with the makeup artist for a long time on the wig styling. The pink-blue gradient colors not only needed a natural transition, but also had to maintain a sense of layers under the strong studio lights, and the hair ends retained some grayish-blue texture to echo the dark blue blocks on the clothing.

The details of the costume are extremely exquisite. The blue gemstone accessory on the chest and the overlapping layers of lace trim took a lot of effort to make. Especially the tulle sleeves at the shoulders, which create a very vivid play of light and shadow when moving. The skirt adopts a large amount of pleated design, with white lace decoration added at the waist to increase the overall sense of layering. To match the overall visual, I chose pure white stockings. This matte material shot on a pure white circular prop, combined with slightly reflective clothing fabrics, unexpectedly gave a holy yet playful feel. To highlight the leg lines, photographer Alarak used a very high-key lighting approach, removing strong shadows and making the tone of the entire frame look very soft and clean.

Shooting was actually a great test of body control; the sitting posture had to look dignified while retaining a maiden's agility. During the first set of poses, lying on the prop with legs raised high, a lot of core strength was required from the waist to support it. To make the skirt hem and leg lines look more natural, the angle was adjusted many times repeatedly. Because the skirt is quite fluffy and precautions against accidental exposure had to be taken into account, micro-adjustments to the posture were very frequent. Although the background is purely white without complex real-world Sangonomiya settings, through such minimalist negative space, the visual center of gravity is instead more concentrated on the texture of the costume and the character's expression.

In terms of makeup, to highlight Kokomi's transcendent yet somewhat childish traits, the eye makeup used relatively clear blue contact lenses, and the blush was applied relatively prominently to enhance facial dimension and the 2D atmosphere. The sideburns of the wig were also slightly curled to make the face shape look smaller and more delicate.

The completion level of this styling is quite high. From the early wig styling and accessory making to the lighting coordination during the shoot, a lot of thought went into every step. Although it was just a studio shoot, being able to completely present the character's features against a pure white background can be considered a very satisfying attempt. I hope everyone can feel the care and details put into this styling, and I will continue to try more different visual styles.
