This glossy material bodysuit paired with the bunny ear styling exceeded expectations under the neon lights. As a Grinning Professor cosplay from Blue Archive, I was actually a bit worried before the shoot that this glossy costume would look too oily under strong lights, but the interlacing of warm and cold lights on-site combined with the large aperture blur beautifully neutralized that reflective feel, nailing the texture just right.

The shooting location this time was chosen at a studio replicating a bar scene. The wooden bar counter, a wall full of various liquor bottles, and the interwoven red and blue neon light strips constituted highly intense visual symbols, unexpectedly harmonizing perfectly with the character's lazy, mysterious temperament.

Costume material selection and details were key to this shoot. The black high-gloss bodysuit presented a patent-leather or latex-like sheen in front of the lens. Although it places high demands on the figure and makes breathing relatively stuffier, it was all well worth it to restore the character's crisp sharpness. The white sailor collar paired with a red bowtie, and the metallic crescent moon badge in the center of the bowtie served as the crowning touch of the entire outfit. To highlight the character's mysterious traits, I also specially paired it with a black bunny ear headband and a silver-bottomed, black-handled decorative cane. The cane is not just a prop for taking photos; it also helped me balance my center of gravity when striking poses, making the postures more natural and relaxed. The black semi-sheer stockings paired on the lower body formed a rich texture contrast with the glossy bodysuit, which, combined with the dim lighting beside the bar counter, created a restrained yet slightly cool-toned lazy beauty. This perfectly showcases the appeal of this bunny girl style look.

This shoot intentionally experimented with different camera languages. The near mid-body shot of standing while holding the cane deliberately lowered the gaze, utilizing the cane's fulcrum and slightly tilted shoulder and neck lines to capture that lazy, casual demeanor. On the other hand, the top-down shot of lying on the gambling table is what I personally consider best embodies the character's sense of calmness. Utilizing the roulette gambling gear and scattered poker cards as the foreground, the green suede tablecloth created an interesting collision with the texture of the black stockings, and the lying posture beautifully exhibited the overall curves while the inverted composition brought a powerful visual impact. In fact, quite a few fun little interludes occurred during the shooting process, such as the cuff accidentally catching on a wine bottle, or the bunny ears knocking over nearby props when adjusting positions; these genuine moments of panic turned instead into amusing segments to relax during shooting intervals of this cosplay photography project.

The gaffer's use of reflectors was also highly precise; under a fully opened aperture, the details of the hair strands and the highlights of the golden crescent moon badge were captured flawlessly. After sorting through this set of photos, I feel that this mature, mysterious atmosphere, which is distinct from a lively vibe, indeed fits the character setting of the Grinning Professor perfectly, and I hope to convey that calm charm to everyone watching through these images.
