This blue and white Wuthering Waves cosplay look is definitely worth talking about specifically regarding the choice of lighting.
To allow the frame to present a water-ripple-like clear texture, a high-key soft-light illumination was intentionally used during the shoot, cooperating with a large amount of white tulle and French windows in the scene. What satisfies me the most in this set of photos is the clash of costume materials; the main body adopts a semi-translucent blue and white tulle dress material. That lightweight texture, combined with the irregular edge tailoring, allows the skirt hem to naturally present elegant layers whether walking or standing still. Especially the mixed white and blue headpiece design on the head easily elongates the overall visual proportions.
Regarding makeup, this time I abandoned overly heavy eyeshadow blending and instead specially coordinated with the light blue hair color to choose a clear base makeup, focusing on emphasizing the eyelashes and glitter. This blue and white makeup look appears exceptionally clean under natural light. Because the post mentioned being "controlled by four notes," we borrowed a piano as the main prop during composition. When standing next to the piano scene, I tried to keep my movements relaxed to avoid stiffness. When you actually see that white piano, the surrounding white lace chair covers, and the matching blue and white bouquets on set, it truly gives you a feeling of being in a cool-toned fairyland.
In the entire photoset, besides standing poses, I also specially took a side profile while sitting on the piano stool. Although that consists of two spliced images (if it needs to be a single cover image, a spliced image is indeed unsuitable), the splicing can relatively completely display the trailing structure of the skirt hem and the gloss of the white tulle on the back. When shooting this type of light-colored, high-contrast photos, special attention needs to be paid to exposure compensation. After all, the white paint on the piano body is very bright, which easily causes the face to be underexposed. We adjusted the light sources back and forth several times on set to achieve this natural transition between light and dark.
Facing such an outfit filled with a sense of airiness, posture management while posing is also very important. To support those fluffy skirt hems, one needs to constantly pay attention to tightening the abdomen and stretching the shoulders, which is also to provide better skeletal support for the final photos. The actions of the hands in the photos—whether simply resting on the shoulder or touching the piano keys—are all intended to present a state of being "naturally relaxed yet elegantly posed" in the frame. The background layout also took a lot of thought; blue artificial bouquets, white feathers, and carpets were paired together, along with some flowing post-processing special effects like glowing butterflies, successfully elevating the dreaminess of the entire frame by several levels.
Of course, although the environment is very ethereal, the shooting process was actually quite hard work. The headpiece plus the wig, combined with many layers of tulle dress, made moving around in a small indoor space to shoot for half a day quite a physical drain. However, after seeing the final photos, the glossy texture of the costume materials, the overall cool-toned atmosphere, and some small ornaments held in hand all beautifully restored that ethereal, crystal-clear temperament I wanted. Shooting this kind of cosplay is sometimes not just for looking good, but to capture that pure white trait in the character setting. I am quite satisfied with the composition and color expression of this final output, and I hope it can bring a refreshing blue and white visual experience to everyone.
