[Nemugaki Fubuki cosplay] Blue-and-White Palette at CP32 Anime Convention — Rare Student Character Convention Photos

Let's get straight to the point: this is a set of photos taken during the New Year's holiday at the CP32 Anime Convention, cosplaying Nemugaki Fubuki from Blue Archive. This character is actually quite rare at anime conventions, so I've always wanted to bring her into reality on the right occasion. Riding on the New Year holiday and the festive atmosphere of CP32, it finally happened, and huge thanks to photographer 花となれ (Hana to Nare) for documenting the entire process.

For the outerwear, I chose a white jacket with a structured silhouette. Combined with black trim at the cuffs and a front zipper design, it preserves the character's original design while better handling the temperature inside the convention hall. Underneath the jacket is a light blue collared shirt with a dark blue tie, paired with a matching blue skirt on the bottom; the blue-and-white color palette looks exceptionally refreshing and fits the character's overall temperament. Beneath the skirt, I wore black tight leggings for this black pantyhose cosplay, preventing wardrobe malfunctions during crouched poses and active movement while staying faithful to the character's sporty vibe. On my feet were a pair of vibrant pink sneakers accented with teal details, injecting a dose of playful energy into what was otherwise a mild, refreshing color palette for this blue-themed cosplay.

In terms of makeup and styling, the real highlight was the wig and head accessories. To capture the character's signature look, the wig used bright blue as the primary tone with internal layered highlights, creating a gradient effect at the hair ends under lighting. The pink and off-white circular geometric hairpiece on top took quite some time to adjust its angle and support structure, ensuring it remained upright even in the crowded convention crowd. I also didn't forget to clip the iconic yellow "X"-shaped hairpin on the left side. For the makeup, to convey her cool yet gentle presence, I blended earth tones and light pink eyeshadow, enlarging the eye contours to make the gaze more focused, paired with matching lip color for a natural, harmonious finish.

The shooting location was set near the glass railings outside the CP32 Anime Convention hall, with dark grey metal handrails and frosted reflective glass in the background. This modern, minimalist setting highlights the blue-and-white costume without cluttering the frame. Sunlight streaming through the convention center's massive glass panels created soft, diffused lighting, making my skin look fair and translucent, giving the whole set a cool-toned high-key quality.

Across the four photos, I tried different poses. One was a sideways kneeling pose on one knee, which nicely showcases the combination of leggings and sneakers; another shows holding a pink frosted donut close to the lens, adding a lively and playful interactive touch; there is also a pose leaning against the railing while reaching forward, appearing relaxed and graceful. Especially for the shots holding the donut up to the camera, I deliberately controlled prop placement and eye direction so the photos feel like an active conversation with the viewer rather than a static pose. The convention floor was noisy, but in those minutes of shooting, I was completely immersed in the character, and all the fatigue from the crowds and long travel melted away the moment the frame froze.

As a fan, every cosplay is a reshaping and interpretation of my understanding of the character. Although Nemugaki Fubuki might not be the most mainstream character in Blue Archive, her design and overall atmosphere are unmistakable. Bringing her into reality at CP32 was a test of my own execution and fidelity. The moment I changed and walked out of the dressing room, even surrounded by other cosplayers, I could clearly feel the unique presence of this color palette and silhouette. I hope to have more opportunities across different seasons and settings to showcase even more diverse perspectives in the future.
