The shooting plan for this Pearl set had been conceived in my mind for a long time, and finally, the entire blue-and-white themed dreamy scene was set up. The entire studio arrangement revolved around pure white and light blue, featuring white Roman columns, intricate hollowed-out arches, and blue-and-white flowers covering the ground, attempting to recreate a tranquil yet ethereal visual experience.

To fit this atmosphere, the costume has an abundance of details this time. A large area of white tulle is spliced together with irregularly cut blue skirts, creating a very layered look when moving. The chest area, added with black straps and collar design, introduces a bit of visual contrast amidst the pure white. The blue-pink gradient flower decoration at the waist and the long water sleeves are also parts I love very much; paired with that golden long-handled staff, the overall magical feel pops right out instantly.

During the shoot, to showcase the lightweight feel of the costume, I tried many different dynamic poses. When standing, using the staff as support, a single-leg lifted posture can make body lines look more relaxed; whereas on the white iron-art bench, whether crossing legs or raising one leg high, it makes great use of the bench's extension feel to elongate proportions. Actually, maintaining these postures while wearing this outfit in a venue full of flowers is quite physically demanding, but seeing the footage captured by photographer Masaka using the SONY A7M5 paired with FE 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses made me feel it was all worth it.

A lot of effort went into light and shadow for this shoot, utilizing the KENKO BLACK MIST NO.05 black mist filter. This filter played a fantastic role in softening highlights under strong light, giving the image a self-contained hazy glowing feel, especially when combined with the blue-and-white main color tone—that transparent and dreamy atmosphere was maxed out instantly.

The character Pearl has an aloof temperament with a hint of mystery, so in expression management, I tried my best to make my gaze more focused and deep. Judging from the first batch of raw photos from the studio shoot, the texture of the black mist filter indeed elevated the overall celestial vibe by a notch. A lot of thought was also put into adjusting every single detail for this photo set, and I hope to fully present this carefully prepared visual experience to everyone.
