[Phoebe Cosplay] Wuthering Waves: Gentle Echoes of Autumn Daisies and the Bluebird

Shooting this Phoebe Cosplay set from Wuthering Waves (Photographic works / cosplay) happened right at the tail end of the autumn studio set season. This outfit is rich in details—especially the blue-and-white color coordination on the sailor collar and the lace ruffles along the skirt hem. Measurements were carefully taken during custom tailoring to prevent the skirt from bunching awkwardly or deforming when squatting or sitting. We chose a warm-yellow lighting backdrop, which, paired with the moss on the ground and wooden fences, created a rich ambient atmosphere.

One interesting highlight during the shoot was the bluebird prop; holding it while posing easily threw off balance, taking multiple attempts before getting it to perch perfectly on my fingers and the book pages. The daisies in my hand were artificial flowers, which are more durable than real blooms and won't wilt halfway through a long photoshoot. Since it was an autumn theme, the legs were styled with white calf socks adorned with blue bows and black loafers, and the cross tattoo on my calf was drawn on beforehand—such detailed touches made the character feel much more lively.

The photographer had great command of camera angles, especially when capturing leg lines and the fluttering moments of the skirt hem, deliberately avoiding overt sensuality to preserve the character's intrinsic sweet, well-behaved demeanor. The seated poses were exhausting because the folding chair was quite low, requiring me to keep my back as straight as possible to maintain proper poise. In post-processing, we mainly cleaned up background distractions and highlighted the golden-yellow foliage, making the contours around the subject crisper.

Though the whole process was tiring, it was thoroughly satisfying; posing with props in the warm-toned light brought bright, vivid colors to the very end of autumn. I'm also grateful to the photographer for our seamless chemistry on set, allowing me to open up more freely in front of the lens and bring out Phoebe's quiet yet subtly playful charm. Regarding garment creases, after every big movement I adjusted the bow tie and cuffs myself to ensure the final photos were free of distracting flaws.
