[Phoebe Cosplay] Wuthering Waves: Styling Tips for the Upgraded Costume Paired with the Old Hat

Wearing the upgraded Phoebe costume from Bailu Studio, the optimized silhouette truly delivers a completely different wearing experience. The awkwardness of the previous two-piece design was that the bottom piece couldn't stay secure with movement—bending over or turning around could easily expose the safety shorts underneath, which severely limited photoshoot poses. After switching to this one-piece dress structure, the fit around the waist and abdomen improved significantly, the cinched waist sits accurately, and the flare of the skirt petticoat looks very natural. With no worry about wardrobe malfunctions when turning or lifting legs, the sense of security is greatly enhanced, allowing for bolder poses.

Regarding the choice of hat, after trying the new version, I still opted for the old one—purely a matter of personal aesthetics. The brim curve of the old hat is softer, giving a natural drape that pairs better with the blonde hair and blue-white gradient ribbons, fitting the character's overall vibe. The new hat's brim is indeed overly stiff and looks rigid, nowhere near as comfortable-looking as the old style's slight casual feel. For styling, the bangs of the blonde wig took quite some time to arrange; adjusting them in front of the mirror alongside the hat's angle was necessary to ensure the hair layers looked full and defined on camera.

In terms of material, the white fabric with gold patterns feels very smooth, while the drape of the blue sash and the delicate finish of the tassels are well-crafted without feeling cheap. The extensive White tights paired with white heeled high boots offer the best flattering effect for leg lines, giving an overall light and airy appearance. In fact, shooting the last photo barefoot on the plush rug was purely because my feet were exhausted halfway through; standing in heeled high boots for a long time made them sore, but stepping barefoot actually relaxed the ankle lines, making them look even more slender and attractive.

Taking a Mirror selfie with a phone while wearing black gloves looks simple, but it actually tests your stamina—adjusting reflection angles while balancing leg lifts, adjusting the hat, or posing gestures. Screen glare often ruins shots, but fortunately, the captured angles turned out very satisfying. The sharp color-blocking contrast between the black gloves, White tights, and white dress produces clean, crisp frames, making the final photos a truly pleasant surprise.
