The angle of the first photo captures the most complete structure of this costume, showcasing my current status.
For this anime style try-on of Lady Thelema, the core focus truly lies in the asymmetrical black-red-gold color scheme and the intricate strapping structure on the legs.
Starting with the upper body, the large red and black sleeves are made of semi-transparent gauze with golden wavy piping, flowing gracefully when moving. The black inner camisole perfectly supports the front silhouette. As for the skirt, the front features a distinct V-shaped split design adorned with three gold diamond-shaped metal parts and vibrant pink irregular cutouts, which really tests the tailor's ability to handle stiff fabrics.
The most time-consuming part of this costume is actually the leg straps. One side exposes bare skin, requiring careful adjustment of the crossed black leather straps so they are neither too tight nor too loose. The other side is fitted with tight tall boots featuring red-and-black flame textures. Because the leg rings and straps are so dense, it took over half an hour of readjusting to make sure they stayed securely in place. This asymmetrical design is genuinely eye-catching and visually elongates leg proportions.
Since this is an anime style try-on session, the overall feeling is a mix of pain and joy. The costume is relatively heavy overall, especially the two long black-and-gold capes at the back, which create a noticeable dragging sensation when walking; however, this weight actually enhances the character's imposing aura. For easy adjustments during this fitting, I didn't wear a wig or full makeup, only roughly confirming the fit of the outfit. With deep red paired with gold trim, the color saturation and texture in the mirror selfie met all expectations, instantly bringing out that opulent aristocratic elegance.
As a female cosplayer doing this character, I feel that the cinched waistline and leg straps are great assets for elevating the character's presence. Due to my figure, I deliberately took in the waist cut a little more. The harmony between pink and red, combined with gold metal accents—I truly love this bold and commanding aesthetic. Although the try-on was tiring, the experience was wonderful.
