[Tamamo no Mae cosplay] Pink Fox of Fate/Grand Order: Mirror Moments in a Maid Outfit

The focus of this shoot was to capture the details of Tamamo no Mae's maid outfit from Fate/Grand Order. The leather corset needed to be adjusted to the right tightness—shaping the bustline while maintaining a sleek, snug fit. Paired with black over-the-knee stockings and bow accents, it easily elongated the leg lines visually. For the setup, I chose an indoor wooden floor and composed the shots using a full-length dressing mirror. To flatter body proportions, I focused on two main poses: a kneeling pose, which worked well to highlight side curves and the tail, and a seated pose, which better showcased the elongated legs reflected in the mirror. Taking mirror selfies requires constantly adjusting the angle of holding the phone and the position of the mirror. The lighting primarily came through the gap of the floor-to-ceiling curtains on the left, blending ceiling lights and side lighting to eliminate harsh shadows on my face and clothes. When framing the pink wig and fluffy fox tail together, I had to ensure they didn't block the corset's structure. In this 2D-inspired style of photography, the key lies in finding optimal angles through the mirror's reflection; every slight adjustment to the toes subtly shifts the reflected leg lines. After several takes, I settled on compositions that conveyed the ornate, playful aesthetic of Fate/Grand Order. The raw shots were just the starting point; in post-processing, I maintained bright colors while introducing subtle cool tones to make the black stockings look smoother and more textured. As a creative exploration, this set serves as my personal interpretation of Tamamo no Mae's maid look and a complete record of this mirror selfie style.
