The duo convention photos of Viper (Viper cosplay) and Rapi (Rapi cosplay) from Goddess of Victory: Nikke shot on-site at Firefly ACG Expo are finally ready to share! This set was documented by photographer Mo Qiufeng using a Sony A7C2. From finalizing our styling to shooting on site, we did extensive preparation for our duo positioning and framing.

I portrayed Viper, while my partner Luobei cosplayed Rapi. These two looks differ significantly in color palette and style, yet they harmonize wonderfully as a duo. Viper's design leans more toward an approachable idol vibe, so I carefully styled the small clips on my head and the highlighted pale-blonde strands. For the costume, what satisfied me most was this metallic-sheen silver-blue pleated skirt; under the convention hall's overhead lights, its reflective shimmer looked fantastic on camera, radiating a captivating luster. To break the mold, I paired it with a Fishnet stockings outfit and black-and-white chunky-heeled tall boots. The fishnet stockings visually elongated my leg lines, creating a striking contrast of lightness against the heavy black leather boots.

Rapi, on the other hand, sports the classic tactical black-and-red color scheme: red hair paired with a black military cap, a leather corset accented with red tactical charms and belt buckles, and a red necktie that carves out a sharp combat-ready presence. With her tall black leather boots, her overall aura is intensely commanding. Our colors formed a perfect cool-and-warm contrast, creating a stunning visual dichotomy when standing side by side.

During the shoot, as Viper, the low-angle shot in Photo 1 was a key focus; photographer Mo Qiufeng is exceptionally skilled at capturing the elongation of leg lines. We tried an intertwined leg stance paired with my gesture of pulling out a phone, creating a dynamic, candid atmosphere full of everyday interaction. The heart gesture in Photo 3 was an impromptu, casual interaction between takes, where the red-and-white color-blocked gloves showed distinct texture in close-up. In Photo 2, the black-and-red Rapi took center stage while Viper knelt on one knee; the hierarchy created by this height difference perfectly reflected the duo bond we aimed to portray.

There were also some fun little moments on site. The convention hall had huge foot traffic, and the polished reflective floor bounced the overhead lights to form gorgeous rim lighting. The in-body image stabilization and resolving power of the Sony A7C2 performed brilliantly in this high-contrast environment, rendering skin tones very naturally. However, both of our boots were quite heavy, and walking around the venue for hours while striking demanding poses definitely left our ankles and legs sore by the end of the day. But to ensure the photos turned out in their prime state, every bit of effort was worth it. We also paid close attention to costume and prop details, such as the long gloves on Viper's wrists and the orange strap charm on Rapi's tactical belt, striving to faithfully recreate the lore designs.

The venue for this shoot was Firefly ACG Expo, a location known for producing high-quality photos where many fan groups and photographers interact in a vibrant atmosphere. Capturing this duo set allowed us to embody our characters while enjoying a wonderful creative collaboration. Special thanks to my partner for her seamless coordination and to our photographer for capturing these moments—the final cuts truly lived up to our initial expectations.
