This time at Firefly ACG Expo, I brought Keqing's bridal look to the venue. Thanks to the @FireflyACGExpo free-entry pass and professional Cosplay photography/post-processing by Ah Xing, this set is finally ready to meet everyone.
The bridal gown set uses pure white as the base color. The most eye-catching feature is the large light purple bow at the neckline, paired with a dark blue gem buckle, retaining the character's signature elements while adding the solemnity of a wedding.
The wig is long light purple hair, with Keqing's iconic cat-ear-like styling carefully crafted on top, adorned with white flower accessories and a lace veil, looking very clean and fresh visually. For eye makeup, I tried a slightly reddish eyeshadow this time; it's not too heavy but makes the whole face look more delicate and three-dimensional.
The main body of the dress is a white sleeveless design with fine lace edging. The waist features golden buttons and yellow-and-purple decorations, raising the waistline. Inside is a blue-purple multi-layered pleated petticoat, giving the skirt a natural swaying effect when moving, with great layering.
All accessories were fully worn, including white over-the-knee socks with lace edging, paired with chunky-heeled white Mary Jane shoes and over-the-elbow long gloves. The holding bouquet was wrapped in white ribbon, very unified with the overall color scheme of the styling.
This Cosplay photography session took place in the expo site's photography area. The actual environment was quite complex, with an industrial-style high ceiling and hanging cold white lighting. However, the photographer set up the lighting area very well using a large black softbox and grid lighting sets, highlighting the figure against the background.
In terms of posing, we tried several different stances. Lifting the skirt slightly while standing looked light and natural; sitting on a black folding high stool with legs crossed and raised, keeping the back straight, displayed the skirt's silhouette and the combination of white stockings and high heels well. The last shot kneeling on the plush carpet, with soft lighting, made one look very gentle.
The texture of the veil is light and soft. During the shoot, I was most worried about it curling up due to wind or movement, but fortunately, the staff at the expo were very cooperative, and there was no interference from too many onlookers, so the captured expressions were quite relaxed and natural. The wig and skirt of this outfit are actually quite heavy, but for the sake of the convention photos, I walked and shot all afternoon at the expo site. Although quite tired, I felt very satisfied seeing the return photos.
For Cosplay with wedding dress elements, the most important thing is actually to keep the clothing clean and the accessories complete. Ah Xing handled this very well in post-processing, not forcing the light and shadow too much but retaining the fabric's original reflective texture.
The theme of this Firefly ACG Expo was 'Firefly Dream City Surpassing Future,' and the site was very rich in ACG elements. Completing a shoot of my character in such an atmosphere was a special experience. Thanks to the friends who helped hold the lights and tidy the skirt that day, allowing this set of Keqing bridal photos to be smoothly completed.
