When capturing these Gilberta cosplay convention photos from Arknights: Endfield, it coincided with the free pass event at Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo. Luckily, there was a modern glass corridor near the venue; its luminous daylight carried a cool, architectural aesthetic that matched this tactical styling seamlessly. The red-and-black color-blocked coat serves as the visual centerpiece of this look, layered over a form-fitting patent and translucent cropped top. The thighs are accented by thigh-high black stockings cosplay and metal-detailed leg bands, finished off with chunky tactical boots for an agile yet icy aura. After all, as a messenger, such mobility-friendly gear aligns precisely with her character role. The wig features reddish-brown long wavy curls matched to the character, topped with mechanical animal-ear accessories and a black geometric headband. For eye makeup, vivid red contact lenses were selected to give the gaze an intense, commanding edge that echoes the red accents in the attire.

The trickiest element to handle was the teal polearm prop. It was exceptionally long and heavy. Showcasing its intricate, industrial mechanical structure while maintaining smooth diagonal lines in the frame meant continually adjusting grip angles to find stances that supported its center of gravity. Though holding it was tiring, these detailed prop accents elevated the overall badass presence. The glowing red emitter atop the polearm also created a striking visual highlight in dim areas.

Throughout the shoot, the photographer leveraged the slanting afternoon sunlight coming through the windows for backlighting, outlining the wig and the edges of the weapon with a luminous rim light. Within the cool-toned glass and steel backdrop, the red-and-black coat immediately popped with dimensional depth. Because the garment incorporates patchwork patterns and sheer mesh panels, poses required careful angle management to avoid looking bulky on camera.

To highlight the gear's nuances, we experimented with diverse compositions: seated low-angle perspectives that accentuated the proportions of long legs, black stockings, and the polearm; full-body standing poses leaning against railings that used architectural lines to elongate the silhouette; and tight mid-shots using hand gestures and sharp glances to evoke her signature mystery and detachment. Despite the boot heel height, fine-tuning how my legs crossed took considerable patience to lock in clean lines. Every shutter click was a re-examination of the character and a practice in aligning body language with her inner demeanor. The lighting texture of the final set turned out exceptionally well, blending cold tones seamlessly with her character traits.
