[Buro cosplay] Muse Dash Nocturne Bloodheir Buro convention chronicle

Today at the Firefly ACG Expo, I brought this complete Nocturne Bloodheir Buro styling to life. Extensive dedication went into this production from preliminary prep to on-site shooting. The wig features wavy twintails in a vibrant magenta that pops brilliantly under natural daylight. To sculpt it properly, I began styling two hours early in the morning—trimming blunt bangs, twisting curls along the sideburns with hair wax, and fitting elf ear prosthetics to establish crisp dimensional facial contours. On the makeup front, alongside crimson contact lenses, the eye makeup utilized pink-toned smudging, accented with delicate blush beneath the lower lash line to harmonize with the garment's primary palette.

The wardrobe is loaded with intricate elements, anchored in white and pastel pink. The cropped top incorporates subtle puffed sleeves with keyhole cutouts over the chest, adorned with two red heart charms. A white leather belt cinches the waist, fitted with silver buckles and metallic rivets. Highlighting the clinical nursing theme, miniature red potion vials and a compact white medical pouch bearing a red cross hang from the belt. The lower half features a color-blocked pink-and-white miniskirt paired with over-the-knee White stockings, detailed with red hearts and cross insignias along the cuffs and sides, grounded by white block-heeled pumps to elongate overall proportions.

For weaponry, I carried a pink long-shafted staff crowned by a winged heart silhouette reminiscent of bat wings. Nearly as tall as myself, maneuvering it through crowded exhibition halls required constant care. During shooting, photographer Xingyou and I collaborated closely, setting up beside floor-to-ceiling glass windows and metallic balustrades to bathe the look in natural ambient illumination, making the pink-and-white fabric gleam. To present diverse facets of the costume and props, I alternated between standing and seated poses.

The most demanding sequence involved sitting on the carpeted floor. To highlight leg contours and stocking details, I sat with legs gently crossed and extended. Maintaining posture while seated in heels is tough—keeping the spine straight and anchoring hands comfortably is vital to avoid slouching. Holding a potion vial prop while pointing a finger to my lips, I tilted my chin slightly upward to accentuate jawline and neck contours. Navigating the venue in heels while safeguarding delicate vials and the oversized staff demanded poised caution. Embracing Nocturne Bloodheir Buro's fusion of fantasy and nursing aesthetics brought immense joy through interactions with fellow fans, making every ounce of ankle fatigue well worth it.
