This Lauma cosplay photoshoot was completed inside a photo studio, fitting the cool tones and tranquil feel of Genshin Impact: Song of the Welkin Moon. When first preparing this outfit, I was deeply intrigued by the translucent blue dragon horn headpiece, which features delicate gold metal fittings and hanging tassels that carry great visual presence in both static and dynamic poses. Paired with pointed ear prosthetics, the character's head silhouette became instantly distinctive. The wig chosen was a deep blue-to-purple gradient with slightly curled ends, and the bangs were trimmed light and thin to frame the face nicely while avoiding blocking my line of sight. Combined with ice-blue colored contact lenses, it accurately recreated the comic-style eye texture.

The costume main body features a halter off-the-shoulder design, with the golden choker and green gemstone pendant around the neck serving as visual focal points that brighten the upper torso. The fabric across the chest utilizes layered translucent sheer, interwoven with bright blue ribbons and bow knot decorations. The blue butterfly arm ornaments and white plush ball details add a touch of playful elf-and-dragon charm alongside mystery. The waist and leg designs are major highlights of the outfit—especially the blue cross straps on the legs, which aren't merely wrapped around, but feature golden rings and diamond-inlaid clasps that enrich lower-body layering. Tying the straps required considerable care to ensure they wouldn't slip during long shoots while staying snug enough to create nice visual lines.

During shooting, we attempted to capture three distinct emotions. In Photo 1, I sat on a white cylindrical pedestal, hands softly clasped at my chest and eyes calmly gazing into the camera lens, imparting a guardian's solemn aura. Photo 2 shifted to a side-seated pose with one leg extending toward the camera, a composition that effectively showcased slender leg lines and the cross-strap design, while my arms rested naturally near my knees to present a relaxed, languid, and confident posture. Photo 3 moved onto a floor covered with a white plush mat, kneeling on both knees with hands remaining at my chest, appearing more devout and gentle as light and shadow struck my body to cast sharp silhouettes behind me.

Regarding lighting, we specifically selected a single cool-toned spotlight directed from the left front of the frame. This key light source selection proved crucial, bestowing the overall frame with a high-contrast cool atmosphere, while casting sharp-edged shadows against the wall that formed a striking visual contrast with the soft, flowing outfit texture. This juxtaposition of matte softness and sharp clarity fits the character's demeanor wonderfully.

For makeup, light coverage was emphasized to highlight skin translucency. Eye makeup used an earth-tone base with subtle upsweeps at the outer corners, paired with heterochromatic eyes (colored contacts) to focus the gaze. Throughout the shoot, the assistant periodically helped adjust hair blowing forward or wind-ruffled sheer drapes to ensure every fold sat in its ideal spot.

From initially adjusting the dragon horn prosthetics to tying up the leg straps, the entire recreation process was deeply meaningful. This Song of the Welkin Moon themed photo set avoided overly complex backgrounds; relying purely on this single shade of blue and crisp lighting was more than enough to display the costume's innate charm. Furthermore, during post-processing retouching, we kept color grading restrained to preserve raw light and shadow layers, emphasizing outfit textures like the translucent sheer glowing under light refraction and subtle reflections off metal chains.

This character contains remarkably rich elements, from hanging decorations to flowing skirts. Although there were a few chaotic moments during shooting, seeing the tranquil feel and moonlit clarity in the final photos made all the effort feel completely worth it. Overall, this Lauma cosplay photoshoot represents a deep refinement of character details, with every garment and accessory repeatedly adjusted and verified. I hope this photo set conveys the unique vibe of Genshin Impact: Song of the Welkin Moon, and that everyone viewing these photos can feel the quiet strength transmitted through this blue halo.
