[Mon3tr cosplay] Arknights 7th Anniversary: Presenting Techwear Vibes in a Cosplay Location Shoot

"Doctor, just keep walking forward." This quote constantly accompanied my shooting concept when preparing this Arknights 7th Anniversary cosplay location shoot. The outfit selected this time blends a vast amount of black and green tones together; the fluorescent green horn accessories on top of my head hold a powerful sense of translucency under natural light, creating a visual extension and echo with the few strands of green highlights at the hair ends. The alternating black and white mechanical collar around the neck and the ring accessory with blue components on the chest enhance the character's techwear feel from the details. The black tactical belt at the waist is very solid, where every pocket, metal buckle, and the layering of the lower hem accurately restores the capable and sharp temperament in the official design. The outer shell of the black coat paired with a large area of bright green lining forms a highly powerful inner and outer color collision.

In the first set of photos on the asphalt road of the daytime park, sunlight spilled bokeh through the gaps between leaves, falling onto the surface of the clothes. I tried to let my eyes carry a bit of coldness and scrutiny to fit the atmosphere under this light and shadow. To highlight the greenery of the environment and the character's black and green color scheme, we specifically picked a bend with a massive amount of lush vegetation in the background. Come nightfall, the scene shifted to the front of a bamboo fence, and I switched to a relatively harsh flash for lighting. The dynamic pose of raising one leg and extending the arm upward was actually to display the side silhouette of the costume, especially the green and white lining exposed when the coat unfurled, along with the black leather straps connecting the outer thigh to the tactical boots. During the night shoot, the luster of the tactical boots and the wrapping feel of the leg straps became more prominent under the strong light, adding a touch of hardcore armor aura to the entire frame.

For this anniversary location shoot, from makeup trials and adjusting accessories to searching for suitable streets and bamboo fence environments, I spent a lot of thought devising the lighting scheme. I hoped the final presentation would hold both the delicate, cool atmosphere under daytime natural light and the high-contrast crispness brought by nighttime direct light. A black and green color scheme often makes the visual center of gravity lean low in outdoor environments, so we utilized tree shadows to brighten the frame during the day, enhanced the styling's silhouette lines with a flash at night, and leveraged the background bamboo forest and asphalt road surface to neutralize the costume's tones, thereby highlighting the character's leading status. This costume heavily tests the snugness of the fit, incorporating many detachable tactical gadgets and straps that require careful positioning adjustments, emphasizing that unique texture blending machinery and biology from the collar down to the belt. Every adjustment of angles and movements during the shoot was to capture that calm, reticent, yet extremely reliable presence of the character to the maximum extent. Hopefully, through this finished cosplay photoshoot belonging to the Arknights 7th Anniversary, everyone can feel the energy and passion I poured into interpreting this character.
