[Remielle cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Ramiel Dark Aesthetic Visual Showcase - Image 1

The costume concept for Zenless Zone Zero's Remielle and Ramiel was packed with intricate nuances from the moment I reviewed the character artwork references, demanding considerable thought to fully translate that rich layering into reality.

Starting with the head styling: the wig was a voluminous short pink cut, trimmed with layered texture and accessorized with red bows on either side, centered with a delicate silver ornament on the forehead. For eye makeup, matching the character's aura, I wore pinkish contact lenses, deepened the outer corners with reddish-brown blended eyeshadow, and added highlights to project a gaze both tender and sharp on camera. The base makeup remained pristine and translucent, perfectly complementing the cool-toned fair skin aesthetic.

Garment details were the focal highlight of prep work. The underlayer is a form-fitting bodysuit color-blocked in navy blue and black, featuring a white sawtooth-edged turnover collar and a black choker. The front is detailed with a half-open silver zipper and black leather straps with metallic buckles, visually infusing rugged mechanical edge. The arms utilize black translucent mesh accented with white stars and crosses; this fabric looks exquisite, but snags easily during movement and posing, requiring utmost caution during the shoot.

The bottom is a dark blue mini-skirt adorned with white five-pointed star prints. The leg styling was personally my favorite part: sheer black stockings paired with a garter belt design not only flattered the leg contours, but harmonized seamlessly with the overarching dark aesthetic. The calves were accented with black bows, leading down to chunky black patent leather heels finished with silver-studded ankle straps and red trims along the outsole edges, drawing vivid focal attention in motion.

The most time-intensive prop was the massive pair of black feathered wings. Due to their scale, adjusting the weight distribution along the shoulder harness was critical to prevent shifting mid-shoot. To enrich the ambient mood, we scattered loose black feathers across the pure white background seamless paper. The sharp contrast between the white backdrop, the dark attire and wings, and the pink hair made the subject pop with striking clarity.

The photoshoot was predominantly staged on the floor. To display the clothing's dimensional form alongside the stockings and leg lines, I transitioned through diverse seated postures. Because of the bodysuit and garter belt mechanics, wide movements easily caused fabric bunching or wardrobe slips, necessitating constant micro-adjustments to the waist, legs, and hands. For example, sitting with legs crossed required pointed toes and a slight backward lean of the torso while ensuring the wings didn't block the body, posing quite a test of core endurance.

Wrapping up the session, despite the physical exhaustion, seeing the camera display filled with such cold, glamorous elegance and mystery made every adjustment worthwhile. Studio lighting was evenly balanced, faithfully capturing the fabric textures and color fidelity. This style diverged completely from the sweet everyday looks I usually shoot, demanding much more restraint and composure in facial expressions and body language. I hope these polished details allow everyone to feel the character's unique charm.
