This photoshoot features the fan-made outfit of Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero's KFC collaboration vest. Because I've always felt that Sunna's color scheme looks especially like a guava, I simply made the background a pink-green gradient guava color, and the resulting effect matches the character's tone quite well.

The solo white studio photography shot really required striking poses many times to get it right. I needed to step on a cylindrical platform to maintain balance standing on one leg, lifting the other leg backward while turning my upper body to look at the lens. Because I had to balance the texture of the clothes, the position of the schoolbag, and the dynamic of the character, it took many tries to capture that most comfortable frame of takeoff and airtime. White studio photography actually tests the tension of movements a lot; when the background is very clean, if the character is even slightly stiff, it looks dull, so I had to keep my core engaged and let my body lines extend as much as possible.

In terms of photography lighting, this time I used a relatively classic studio shooting concept. Three lights hit the background, among which a snoot was used for side lighting, forcefully cutting out that sense of perspective so the background wouldn't look too flat. Another light hit the ceiling to raise the overall ambient brightness and avoid the lower part being too dark. The last two lights were dedicated to the character: one responsible for the fill light to ensure facial details and catchlights, and the other as a rim light to outline the lines of the green wig and shoulders. Since the outfit is a pink small vest paired with black shorts and white wide-leg pants, the color contrast is quite strong, so a slightly softer fill light makes the skin texture look better.

The equipment this time was an R8 plus an RF50 lens. The 50mm focal length is really comfortable for full-body shots in an indoor white studio, with a natural perspective that doesn't distort body proportions. However, due to the large range of motion and the need to pay attention to compositional negative space, sometimes stepping back quite far meant I had to keep a close eye on the focus.

The regretful part is the LOVE projection in the background. At first, I thought it had a nice atmosphere, but looking at the photos later, it did feel a bit tacky. I originally thought that if it were replaced with a projection slide of the Zenless Zone Zero logo, it might fit the character's worldview better and enhance the atmosphere, but unfortunately, it wasn't custom-made in advance and will have to wait for the next shoot to be made up for.

Regarding the choreography of the actions, at the very beginning, I wanted to showcase Sunna's energetic yet slightly playful feeling, so I referenced some frozen-action poses from parkour and jumping. The one stepping on the platform features a sideways glance back, where the red schoolbag and white trouser legs form a sharp visual leading line. Although my legs and waist felt a bit sore after shooting, seeing that dynamic vibe with a bit of drive in the final photos made me feel that repeatedly striking poses was totally worthwhile.

The clothing details are also very attentive. The pink vest has black binding edges, paired with white wide-leg pants and black sneakers, creating an overall athletic mixed-functional style vibe. The cat ear headband and the black pattern on the forehead are also part of the restoration. The green hair is actually not very easy to stand out in the pink-green background, but fortunately, the rim light was sufficient, providing great edge separation. This guava-flavored color scheme really grows on you the more you look at it, and I hope it can provide some different visual ideas for friends who like Sunna.
