This Hana Song bunny girl combat suit had been hanging in my closet for quite some time, and I finally took it out for this studio shoot. The materials of the blue leather bodysuit and glossy black shorts are very particular about lighting, but fortunately the studio lights captured an incredible texture, making the overall posture look exceptionally sharp. The pink bowtie and gaming headset not only stayed faithful to character motifs, but also softened the toughness of the leather outfit.
To complement this look, I chose a pink-and-white folded bunny ear headband and wore her iconic red warpaint markings on my cheeks, infusing the face with a spirited combat edge. The prop blaster in hand was the centerpiece of the shoot, with its black-and-pink color scheme matching the ensemble seamlessly. Holding the blaster required firm wrist strength; raising it with one hand while keeping a relaxed facial expression genuinely put arm endurance to the test.
The studio backdrop was chosen in pure pink and purple—first to echo D.Va's classic signature colors, and second because such expansive solid tones sharply highlight bodily contours, creating a clean frame packed with visual impact. Photographer Luna has an amazing knack for dynamic captures; to catch the floating arc of the hair, we rehearsed head-tossing motions multiple times.
For the series seated on the tall stool, the core was engaged the entire time. Black Stockings paired with glossy black patent leather heels dramatically elongated leg proportions. While holding the poses was exhausting, seeing the final outcome—especially the flawless interplay of leg lines and leather textures—made every drop of sweat worthwhile. The white gloves and sleeve cuffs were also refined repeatedly, featuring button detailing along the edges to lend a subtle uniform touch. When posing seated, balancing the center of gravity while finessing the crossing angle of the legs was essential to look relaxed yet subtly aggressive.
The wig was a deep reddish-purple long straight style, requiring special attention to crown volume and natural drape at the tips during prep. On the cosmetic side, the foundation remained fresh and clear, with eye makeup tilted toward sharp intensity, paired with pink cheek markings to evoke a futuristic feel. Uniform sheer consistency in the black Stockings was crucial, as poor lighting easily causes harsh glare, but the lighting here was handled masterfully. Walking in stiletto heels is never easy; during standing poses, shifting weight to the back foot while lightly planting the front toe was key to elongating the legs on camera.
Embodying the archetype of an E-sports girl, Hana Song's confident, audacious, yet playful charm was something I constantly sought to convey. The gaze couldn't be overly soft; it needed a touch of pride. While aiming the blaster, I kept imagining maneuvering a mech across the battlefield—holding only a lightweight prop, yet never backing down on presence. The entire process was physically demanding, but collaboration with the photographer was effortless, and the final captures matched our envisioned expectations perfectly.
