Shooting this Remielle set from Zenless Zone Zero took a great deal of thought and preparation. The location was set in a studio styled like a sci-fi server room, with background walls and ceilings illuminated by monitors displaying cool blue interfaces, complete with blue neon tubes that immediately created an intense Cyberpunk mood upon stepping inside. To complement this cool-toned palette, garment craftsmanship had to be executed flawlessly. The outfit features rich layering: the front zipper and metallic star hardware of the black corset minidress have prominent texture, overlaid with sheer black mesh sleeves accented by leather straps around the arms. Layered beneath is a white collared shirt and black necktie, creating crisp contrast under the blue environment. Wig styling also underwent meticulous adjustments—giving the pink short bob airy volume, adorned with a red-and-black dual-tone ribbon and black metallic bobby pins. Paired with reddish eyeshadow and lip tones, the character's commanding presence emerged instantly.
Props played a vital role during shooting. The silver metallic case plastered with varied hazard labels and the large white cogwheels in the background added heavy industrial flair to the frame. The black jagged wing props worn on my back carried noticeable weight; holding them naturally open required engaging core muscles to keep the wings' spread angle balanced. The photographer explored diverse perspectives: in the eye-level medium shot of photo one, I offered a subtle wink to inject a touch of playfulness and connection, lightly resting a hand on the shoulder strap. In photo three, seated forward on the crate with my chin slightly tilted up, I aimed to project a languid yet sharp and assertive demeanor.
My personal favorite is the wide-angle, slightly distorted high-angle full-body perspective in photo two. To flatter my lines before the lens, I sat sideways on the edge of the case with one leg extended slightly forward. The lace trim of the black over-the-knee socks (Stockings) and black high heels were cleanly defined against the reflective studio floor. Cool blue illumination cascaded over me, chiseling sharp silhouette contours. The wide-angle lens stretched spatial depth, lending the background monitors and machinery an imposing, pressurized weight. Placing one hand near the neckline complemented the top-down perspective, accentuating the garment's tailored cuts and framing my bodily proportions in an ideal light.
The entire shoot demanded precise physical discipline. Because the scene lighting was relatively hard, continuously adjusting bodily angles was essential to catch the sharpest shadow cuts. For example, in the side-seated pose of photo three, sidelight illuminated half of my face and neck while leaving the other half shrouded in shadow, heightening dramatic visual tension. From wardrobe coordination to set choreography, every link was rigorously refined. I hope everyone enjoys this rendition of Remielle within the world of Zenless Zone Zero.
