The inspiration for this photoshoot was very direct: I wanted to present a white-toned Rem angel look in a home window setting. White color schemes in photography actually pose a big test to the control of lighting and environment, especially with large areas of white dresses plus feather wings. If the light is too harsh, it easily overexposes and loses details; if it's too dim, it makes the picture look muddy. In the end, we chose the afternoon hour, using the natural diffuse light coming through the window as the main light source. The light hit the wings and white lace socks to form a very soft diffuse reflection, wonderfully preserving the texture of the white items.
Model @乌龙茶茶 handled this look wonderfully. Her light blue short hair formed a very refreshing color contrast with the pure white outfit. The Angel halo on top of her head combined with the angel wings on her back gave the overall styling a visual sense of lightness—even in that moment of lifting the bear up high, the feathers had a subtle fluttering visual effect. In designing the poses, we didn't intentionally construct a lofty sense of holiness, but chose having her hold a teddy bear doll in a relatively casual sitting posture, paired with a slightly dreamy gaze, to capture that contrasting appeal of being both divine and innocently cute. Creating this emotional Atmosphere makes it easier to feel approachable than rigid, forced posing.
Costume details were also a major focus of this shoot: white ruffled skirts paired with lace at the collar, distinctly layered. Wearing translucent short white lace socks naturally exposed leg lines in a seated pose, balancing the monotony brought by large areas of white across the body while fitting the character's innate girlish vibe as part of this White thigh-highs outfit arrangement. The paired wings and halo bracket were lightweight props specially prepared for this shoot, allowing easy posture adjustments without compromising overall aesthetics. In terms of composition, I intentionally included the window frame in the picture to create a natural framing effect, with the bookshelf on the right and a wooden rack with the number 7 serving as background accents to add a cozy home-life touch, forming just the right contrast with the overall angel styling.
This white angel style outfit also placed high demands on makeup. We deliberately kept the eye makeup clean and subtle, without over-emphasizing blush, to avoid disrupting the cool overall key tone. As for post-production, no overly complex color adjustments were made; we mainly brightened the white areas so the backlighting by the window formed pretty rim lighting around the hair strands and skirt edges, controlling the overall Atmosphere within a cool-toned mood. Throughout the shooting process, we strived to capture the most natural expressions—moments like holding the bear up high or interacting with the teddy bear were all aimed at conveying a hint of dynamic narrative within flat photographs. The whole shoot was very relaxed; you could feel that light, styling, and character emotion were all on a very comfortable frequency, and the final result was indeed close to the pure and cozy atmosphere originally envisioned.
